Until the Iphone has 3G, installable applications (not talking about WEB 2.0).

I agree - these two things would make it REALLY attractive. Until then, I actually think it'll be cool to see what kind of cool AJAX oriented websites people design for these things.

I also want to see Flash support.

I bet it is not anything like my motorola that I have. Why I say that you ask?Well can you lets say, if you get pissed at someone while on your phone, can you throw it and it still work perfectly ??? Well aside from a few scratches on my motorola I can do just that.... Very robust !!!! Iphone probably not

Couple curious questions for you.

How much is your plan, total, with unlimited data? Verizon's is certainly out of control.

Is the iPhone is fast as it is on the commercials, or are the screen images simulated on the commercials? I hate phones that "look" like the menus and such are going to be fast, but lag considerably.

Where the hell is the keyboard? Is it a touch screen keyboard? How does it work?

Everything is touch screen TJ.

My old man decided to try out an iPhone. We both agree that it's really not all that great, aside for the screen and the camera. The touch screen is amazing... it can really take hours of your time to be just playing around with a single picture.

The main problem though is the service. I have no idea how people can rave about Cingular's laughable EDGE service, where it covers city blocks (where Verizon's EVDO covers something closer to nationwide).

It's not an iPhone issue, but since they are in a 2 year contract with Cingular, they will have to live with their slow ass 3G coverage. Dude, it took almost 10 minutes to load up the local weather radar. By the time they loaded the information, the rain was already on the other side of town.

I wouldn't buy it. To me the only thing that phone is good for is to go partying and show it off to all your friends with a nice digital camera and a screen that'll gather crowds around you. It's more of a "hip" phone than a functional one.

Another thing I've never been a fan of, is buying the first release of any new gizmo that comes out. Game consoles, phones, anything like that, I ALWAYS wait until the 2nd or even 3rd gen. So many people learned that the hard way with things like the Playstation2 and the Razr.

Exactly my point. The iPhone is simply the new model iPod with cell phone capapbilites. And I'm not being a smartass, that's truly what it is.
