The 70-200 f/4L is a featherweight when it comes to the 70-200 lenses, you need to start lifting some weights!

We have a 70-200 F/2.8L IS and use it fairly regularly. It is a hell of a piece of glass.

Nothing compares in pure "WOW" factor to the 85mm F/1.2L. It's simply amazing. The size of the front glass on it is HUGE. Pictures are also gorgeous.

It's a heavy little sucker though.

Yes the 85 1.2L is off the hook..

It makes a 30d look tiny..

Wow that is a big piece of glass. What kind of stuff do you shoot with that?

It's a prime, so not very practical but would yield very sharp images even in low light ;)

We use it occasionally for architecture.

See, there's the misconception. If you open up to F/1.2, your depth of field is SO SHALLOW that it's almost useless.

So it's not like it works in super low light conditions any better than an IS 24-70.

Also, calling something impractical because it's a prime is silly.

So then what's the point of having f/1.2 if it's almost useless?

Because in certain situations it can create beautiful effects.

And by f/2.2 its sharper than God's toe nails.
