He is just a horrible manager. Everything is broken. He never does anything he says he is going to do. Most of the other employees he has working are just shy of mentally retarted. I have been working there long enough that I KNOW I could run the place just fine. To late now I guess.

I get sick of people who complain about their jobs. You went there and asked to work for them - no one made you do it. If you want better pay, a better boss, a better job - quit and go get one and stop moaning about it. No one is responsible for your problems but yourself.

I'm not aiming this at anyone just ranting.

I agree completely.... I was at a job for a whopping 2 months when the managements bullshit and mistreatment of myself forced me to quit... I bitched for all of 3 hours and said "fuck it" and quit that night... makes you feel SO much better!

I just hate it at my job when all people do is sit around and bitch. Freaking quit if it's that bad for you. People don't have the balls or the confidence to do it. If they think they arent good enough to have a better paying job - they should be damn thankful for the oppertunity to have the one they have.

I kind of agree, as a manager however it is part of my job to make sure my people are covered. A new employee doesn't need coddling persay, but at the same time, there is no reason to break down their motivation. There is no employee more motivated to work than a new one, that being said it is up to the management to guide them and help them grow in their position. If your employees tell you to Fuck Off, what does that say about your skills as a manager.
Kate, I bet a better feeling would have been a manager that supported you and guided you the right way in order for you to make more money and feel like you were accomplishing things each day.
It is way too expensive to hire employees today. Loosing one due to a lack of compassion or direction on my part is unacceptable.

Absolutely! I've BEEN a manager before and they ignored my experience, in management and the field all together, mainly because they were 6 years older than I. Yet when they needed to "speak to me" about anything, it was via notes on the counter that anyone could, and I'm sure would, read. I felt like I was the only one who'd made it out of 3rd grade... so I said fuck it. I know I can find better, I have much more self respect than to put up with shit like that....

all those of you who are bitching... if you're too afraid to just leave as I did, (not that I blame you, I was terrified, and it's not always the smartest or most mature option) go job searching, find a job and give your two weeks!
