So for those of you who have started your own business,

What keeps you motivated.... or at least what keeps you as motivated as you were when you first started the business. What techniques do you use to keep yourself motivated. Because once you lose the motivation, then all hell breaks loose and it falls apart.

Dude, I think you're overestimating Steve's prowess with women by a factor of about 10. The only ladies he gets are hookers from Frogtown and trannies with daddy issues.

As far as car buying goes, unless you are reqired to drive a certian type of car (as I am) don't take a payment. I myself am afforded a monthly car allowance. it pays for my car and all four insurance policies on my other vehicles. That is the only way to go short of a company vehicle, which becoms a pita when vacation time comes near or any personal time for that matter.
My next house (in 2 or so years) will be in the city. My brother owns a company that builds townhomes. He's going to set me up w/ some land.

That's the best part of E30's..

Cheap cars to buy, maintain, simple to learn and fun to drive! dont' have to finance a thing, just save your money for a month or two more than you usually would.

I think most of us here are off on a good foot - we dont finance cars!
Seriously, financing is the devil. I know there's going to be some asshole on here who spouts some bs about 0% financing - but the bottom line is if you can't afford it don't buy it. also, with interest - you're almost always investing in a depreciating asset in addition to 20% interest to top it all off. I believe the one exception is a house. It's a shit load better than rent and interest/taxes are deductable. Make a budget on a spreadsheet. If you don't know how PM me I have a template. Sometimes it helps just to see what you spend per month. It will become obvious at that point which expenses need to go away. I know you guys (some of you) complain about e30's being a money pit - but imagine paying as much as you do per month in parts for a hyundai tiburon or some shit like that. It will cost 1/4 of the purchase price when it's paid off vs your e30 actually gaining value. Not to mention insurance is less and you know you have a quality car. If you want to argue w/ me about credit go ahead.

In all seriousness - first find out why what you are currently making isnt enough. Lose the credit cards and bullshit expenses. The key is to live below your means - then the $$ will be pouring in.

you could always make porn like i used to, the work can be sporatic, but pays well. you have to have loose morals, though. if you are going to do anything like political etc, it will come back and haunt you. you loose all rights to your images once you cash the check (you are classified as an indepentent contractor tax wise) so it will not be cash....unlike most people think it is still a business! the best part is i was in my late 20's early 30's and being paid to fuck collage girls!!!
you have to be able to keep it up in a room with 2-3 people watching you do it too. usually camerman/sound and director. most can't.
you can come up with a cool name too, mine was Johnny Bravo.
    You are lucky as hell:crazy:
