2500 for a dented trunk lid........


Pick up a un-dented one form a junk yard 50-200 bucks (or your equivalent currency ) 250ish to paint it at most. 20 minuets for you to bolt the new one back on, and there you go done for no more than a 1/3 or way less of what you were quoted.


Edit: Currency converter says 2500 Norwegian Krone = 425 USD so I would say thats not a bad quote to get it fixed

Junk yards wont sell parts around here. They scrap everything. I once offered $2000 in cash to let me get some parts from a mint looking E30 M-Tech II, and they still turned me down.

It's not just the trunk lid though. There's a small dent on top of the rear quarter panel as well.

Anyhow, my landlord is probably paying, and if not, I'm just going to paint the lid from my racecar and put that on, and put the damaged one on the racecar.

that vanagon is beast! we had a silver westfalia edition when i was growing up. i loved that thing. it had a really unreliable engine though. we always had problems with it.
