2.5 years is long enough? Shit, I was with my ex for 2.5 years, and within 1-2 months we both changed so much that we didn't even talk any more. When you are that young, you change way too fast to be married. Your very likely to go in opposite directions so why try to force yourselves together?

Dont do it. Dont have kids either. Take my word for it...you never get over having to talk to your kids on the phone. You never get over having to go visit your kids or having to take them back to their mom's house after they stay with you for a weekend. It never stops hurting and it never gets any easier.

I'd give my life for my daughters but if I had to do it all over again I wouldn't get married. Women are evil, self-absorbed creatures who truly believe they are each at the center of the universe.

There is nothing wrong with that in and of itself. On the other hand, if you are mimicking every aspect of a marriage (e.g. joint bank accounts, sharing a residence, buying stuff on credit together, etc.) but not persuing the actual legal and spiritual aspect of being married, then that has the potential to cause complications.

A couple who does not want to get married clearly wants to keep the option of being able to consort with other people romantically and they are simply keeping each other occupied until someone better comes along. They dread the thought of being "locked down" in marriage.

Marriage is the ultimate commitment. It's the promise that says the other person is the only one I want to be intimate with. Unfortunately there are people who do not take this seriously and in turn this makes a mockery of marriage.
