2 or 3 years ago, I wanted to get married so bad. I couldn't wait to get married to my girlfriend of 3 years. Unfortunately, she cheated on me. We ended that. Since then, I had experienced so much on my own in the past 3 years since and have learned so much about myself. I simply feel that you can't do that kind of self-exploration when you're constantly dependent on somebody else.

Be on your own, see what you can do in your 20's. When you're 30,35, you're going to look back and wonder why you got married so early in your life. I'm not talking about getting as much waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles as you can (although that's always a bonus), i'm talking about travelling, meeting people, challenging yourself..... without a fallback. You have the rest of your life to be married, why rush it?

Everybody has it in their head, "if i'm not married by the time i'm 25, i'm going to be a lonely old man or i'm going to be that "old dad"". Well, times are changing. There's a reason why the divorce rate is 60 some-odd percent. People are making decisions very hastily because they don't know better. My brother is 22 and just graduated college, got a job and just asked his gf of 6 years to marry him. I just don't get what the rush is.

Get a good job, get settled in your career. Be able to support yourself first, then learn how to grow with somebody else. If you don't even know who you are and what you're capable of, how can you possibly be with somebody else, or worse, support a child? It doesn't make sense to me and that's why the divorce rate is so high. And it's going to get worse because divorce is commonplace nowadays. Nobody cares about the implications and consequences that religion or law imparts on divorcees anymore.

that's a great theory for you - but it doesnt work for everyone. I've been with my girl for 5 years and we've grown together every step of the way. What am I supposed to do - leave her so I can go find myself? I found myself in highschool man. As for your brother asking his girlfriend - whats the damn difference? If you live together and know you're going to stay together - what's the harm? It's actually easier for me now - tax breaks and cheaper insurance. As for the divorce rate - It is so high because the quality of people is steadily decreasing. People lie, cheat, drink, do drugs, ect. Not to mention they pop out babies too fast.

What is that supposed to mean? E30's are badass. They are full of character and style, and are already considered a classic car. If I had a girl pass me up because I drove an E30, that sounds like a good riddance! I could sell all my cars and have a 330 ZHP, with the title in the safe.

I understand it must suck to be turned down, but really when you find the right girl it will become so much clearer. You wont have to worry about her saying 'no' because of a rough spot in her life, she'll see you as a way to work through it instead of something to pile on top of it. I've been there, I thought I wanted to get married for a while but HOT DAMN am I ever glad I didn't...chick turned out to be a compulsive liar. Enjoy your life and just learn what you can about yourself. Travel, explore, have fun. You only get to be young once.

Its significantly better if that 20yo car is a 2nd or 3rd toy car.... or atleast thats why the girl next to me is saying...

I think there is a clear and known difference between the people that use E30s for transport versus the people that drive E30s for the appreciation, feel, and value. You can not beat it.

I'm not an average guy, and I'm not looking for the average girl. When I had my 328i and 328is (in 2002 and 2003). I literally had to beat off girls with a stick. I have had a taste of the girls like that, and they are not really my type.
