there is no doubt helmets save, we all know that. still, knowing that, when i used to go to Europe for the winter to train i probably placed a helmet on my head, unless it was raining or ultra foggy (and the rear strobe too!).
this is the way to be in the winter:

Kev- I go on rides all throughout the city, but when I want to fuck around and try some tricks across the street from the front door of my apartment building is a side street and its super wide. No one ever drives down it and parking isn't allowed, so I have an entire city block street to myself usually.
I felt the need to try some skids after watching Mash way too many times, I started skidding and soon the lengths of my skid just grew to mind-blowing lengths.... 30-40-50 foot skids and I got so amped, after a few more times watching Mash I thought to myself lemme try throwing my leg over my bars. the first few times were super sketchy, and then i started being able to throw my leg over so fast and just completely lock it up. That one time I bailed was the only time i've ever fucked myself up.1989 Bronzit 325ia- Sold

Fixed gear or single speed worthy right now. I found it without any wheels or anything.
It appears to be a 56-57. Stand over is about the same as my Windsor on 700c's.
I put a bottom bracket on it and crank arms with chain ring, but the axle is too long for the bracket. That will need to be replaced. I'll keep the brake on it. Its an old school Dia Compe. Wheels not included, just frame. I will include the original Nitto stem and bars in awesome condition. The frame is a little rough paint wise since I've cleaned it up, but sanding it down and repainting it shouldnt be a big deal. Frame is straight as an arrow. Someone took care of it.Comment

ok, so here's my hoopty warrior.. this bike was GIVEN to me in near mint shape a few years ago by my uncle. i want a road bike, but can't bring myself to sell this one, cuz it's just so dang practical! so i'll just have to save for a road bike. i ride atleast 3 times a week on this thing, and abuse the crap out of it (keep it up/ in tune tho.. :) ). it's fun/ fast/ and durable. we've got some real rad trails by where we live, been riding those a ton and i ride the roads a ton too. but i like the ability to blast lawns/ hills on campus (i live in a college town...) hop curbs etc. that's why i want to keep it AND have a road bike. :D

So I don't feel like searching through this thread and you guys like talking about bikes.
I've been thinking of getting a single speed road bike for cheap <300 bucks hopefully.
I could also take a multi speed and convert it correct?
Any recommendations on frame size, ratio, etc etc? I'm 6'0 about 160 pounds.
