You should polish those rims before you build the wheel.

So my bike is still yet to be delivered. It was scheduled for today but they tried yesterday and didn't leave it. So I called and they said it'll forsure come today before 2. I waited since 10am and then just now had to go to work. I hate this waiting game shit. I wanna ride!! Ha. But when I get it.. Should I really pay a shop to assemble it? It can't be that hard to do right? I don't wanna spend $$ to get it assembled unless that's the way to do it

I had miche hubs on my track pro 5 years ago. they rock! mine were low flange however. Be careful with the cog and lockring. Miches are different than most. i currently have those mavics on my road steed and they are like butter. much better than deep V's and i like deep V's. ENJOY :)

Yeah, I'm stoked. If I understood correctly, I think the Miche's come with the lockring. And I'm stoked as hell on those rims, I got them for $90 for the pair. They're new, but a little scuffed and what not from sitting in the back of the shop I bought them at for a couple years. I really wanted deep wheels, but didn't want to be just another fixie on Deep V's, and I heard the quality on them is very good.

And hell no I ain't polishing them!

What kind of locks do you all use? I had a u-lock on my most recent bike. A s&m call girl frame with various goodies totally very expensive for a bmx frame. Some fuck-tard sawed through the lock and jacked my bike. Thus leading me to fixed. I do not want this to happen again and was looking at the kryptonite New York chain. I don't care if it's trendy, from people have told me before, but will it be a good security device? It says it's a 10/12 on their security gauge. Any thoughts?

after 3 hours of bitching at ups for not delivering my bike today they finally strolled on over to my house about 8pm. Its a black Kilo TT size 50. I was afraid that it was going to be a little bit small but it fits awesome for my liking! It was hot a shit out tonight for some reason and decided to only cruise for a little to get a feel for it since i have never riden fixed. it was amazing!! it was weird at first and i have trouble getting my right foot in the straps but whatever. i also want to get rid of the bars... not really my style since ive riden bmx my entire life. some straight rising bars are in order. everything else though is awesome! i cannot wait to ride it tomorrow morning even though it will be 100 degrees :D

I love the Mercier frame. MAKE SURE you change out that Cog and Lockring SOON. They are very low quality and will strip the hub rendering your rear wheel useless.

I also have to ask how tall you are. If you ride that comfortably with the seat that low, I would venture to say that you're much too short for that frame.

I am 5'10''... i was just cruising around did a lot of adjusting along the way and it just happen to be low when i took the pics. i ended up being most comfortable with it much higher up. When it was that low my legs were doing a lot bending i noticed which i was told is bad for them. So it will be set higher.

Thank you for that info about the cog and lockring... i have heard a few others mention that so that will definately be a must.

I am happy that i got this bike so i can finally commute on bike to school but then it pisses me off since it will be taking money from my turbo/stroker awesome engine build haha

you're 5'10" and ride a 50? I'm 5'11" and ride a 55. on f1x3d you said you got fitted by a bike shop, but that seems a bit small for you...
