Well I went down last weekend. Road rash galore, broken ring finger, and "de-gloved" middle finger (ripped skin off). Wasn't wearing a helmet either..

Alright. So I was asking what helmets I should be looking into, because I do plan on getting one. I'm just looking for some recommendations as I've never owned a helmet.

After a 65 mile ride. It's a Giant tcr advanced 1 with s60 clinchers. I'd like to switch to the sram red's this year and some carbon clinchers.

Nice bike man...

^ seems 90% of the benefit of going Red is in the brifters and rear derailer. Most of the tour set ups use Force cranks and front derailer so that's where I decided to save some $ on my build. A friend has the Red one piece cassette and his shifting sounds really cool.

Ahh good to know. I'm the only rider that doesn't have the Di2's with the group of riders I ride with. They've been pushing red's or dura ace's on me for about a year now. Anyway I can save money will be good, lol.

Honestly I wouldn't bother switching to Sram Red. The weight savings are hardly worth it. Force will still feel crisp and very positive when shifting. Definitely switch that wheelset. Those wheels are TANKS. You could drop nearly a pound of rotating weight easily :D

I currently ride one of these,


and have upgraded the saddle to a fizik antares and a sram red crankset, along with a 52t chainring and a 14-25 cassette to conform to junior gearing restrictions. Ordered a pair of easton ea90slx wheels for it as well. Current bike weight is approximately 17 pounds even, with pedals (look keo's). If anybody in the easy bay wants to ride sometime, hit me up.

a 61 and that much seat tube, how do you fit into an E30? Nice bike BTW, I love white.

Are those zipp logos gold? If so I need to get a set for my bike.
