I was going for Computer Science and it was stupid as hell. Why do I need to take history for that? Theres no fucking point. Oh I had to take art too, WTF will that EVER do for computer science?

If I didn't have to take like 5 more math classes I would still be in it. 90% of the math I took had no relation to anything I was doing with computers even though all the counselors claimed it did.

Had I just gone to a tech school off the crack I would be done now, and not have wasted all my time and money at a real school.
Um, it takes more than 4 years to be a lawyer... and there's other high-paying stable professions you can do in 4 years: Accounting, Actuary, Financial Analyst, Engineering, Operations, etc.

CS is heavily involved with Math. Computer Information Technology is the bullcrap major people take if they can't handle theoretical math. And history / art appreciation is supposed to broaden you (the point of college truly along with networking / personal growth), and not make you an uneducated hilljack.

Enjoy your fake school, and dead-end job.

Is that what a college education buys you?

Once again people - here is an example of a person who absolutely needs a degree to eat.

haha, I always hear people complain, why do I need to take X humanities class, it doesn't even pertain to my major. I liked the humanities classes I took, even though I graduated with an engineering degree.

College is not 100% about learning your major. It is also about developing as a human being--being able to carry on an intelligent conversation for more than 30 seconds, without resorting to phrases like teh win, teh lose, or curse words.

Apparently lance didn't learn much from those classes then. Agreed though - my favorite classes have been the least relevant. Philosophy, human sexuality, neuroscience, ect..

You couldn't hack it at a university, went to a tech school, found a career field you enjoy and excel in. Congratulations, would you like a cookie?

                That's what you said.
I am calling you out for this and only this. I don't care about you friends with "specialty degrees" as I said in my last post. You were being a dick and I called you out.
You just reworded what i said in the first place. The first post would have been positive if he had no said "4 Year Schools FTL."
I'm pretty sure he was speaking for himself and not for your buddies who are clearly doing well.
As far as your tenure goes, again I don't care. You don't post often, but apparently when you do you like to call people out. How are you being helpful in this forum? Are you giving advice? Are you selling things to other r3v members at a discount? Nope. Tell you what, why don't you keep your post count where it is and just read from now on. Clearly you can't seem to grasp the concept of holding back.
Would you like a cookie now?

Great point Fred! I agree totally. But belly to belly conversations can be achieved with work experience as well. Especially in a field that changes rapidly.

OK CGrizz, how about this opening paragraph:

The large halogen lights begin to flicker with anticipation as the sun sets, it’s Friday night and it’s time for football. A slow, thunderous roll glides into the parking lot before even the opponents arrive. The figure who dismounts the sybian is a somewhat squat man, wrapped in a tight fitting jean jacket.

Agreed, philosophy and behavioral psychology were two of my favorite classes. Yet for the most part, completely irrelevant to my major.

And for the record, my post wasn't nearly as harsh as Lance's. So bother him for a few pages. I am worried my post count will get too high having to defend myself. I have to keep it at my current average of 1/month, haha.

Yeah - at least there aren't naked pics of your gf floating around like lance.
