If your worried about children viewing this and the affects of violence this is not any different then from wwe being on public tv, in terms of violence. Yes wwe is scripted and what-not but its still violent acts/moves that potential hurt someone just like MMA does. CBS is right in its justification its on saturday nights when not many people are watching tv, but might now with something that appeals to young men.

If people are worried about violence, they have two fucking options:

        1) Turn the fucking channel
        2) Be a fucking parent and turn the fucking channel so your fairy son doesnt have to watch violence

wow, did anyone watch the Elite XC Cung Le x Frank Shamrock fight tonight on Showtime? That was a great and entertaining fight. Cung Le owned Shamrock the whole fight!!! Spinning back fists, sweeping kick that left Frank on his ass, kicks to the ribs, abdomen and head and the fight ends with Shamrock's arm supposedly being broken by the kicks. I say he just didn't want to go into the next round cause he knew he would be KO'd... Matter a fact he was saved by the bell.

EDIT: video of the last round here: http://www.sherdog.net/forums/showth...757056&page=57

haha, yeah i watched it, NOT the way i thought it was going to go.

i'm an mma fan, not an organization fan, but watching these smaller shows really makes you realize that ufc is no doubt top of the pile, the fighters are leaps and bounds ahead of these guys. elitexc - number two org in the world apperently, imagine what ufc 185 champ would do to elitexc 185 champ (now le). not trying to start an argument, im not biased in anyway, i could care less where the fight is held, just saying.

anyone watch the DREAM lw grand prix opening round?

I agree with you on the MMA, not organization deal, however; I was thrilled when UFC bought Pride as I wanted to see some matchups. I didn't catch the first DREAM as I was out that night. I was going to watch it on P2P streaming. Is that how you watched it?

BTW, supposedly that 2nd kick gif above is the one that broke/displaced his wrist. You can see him shaking off the wrist after the kick..

Who's watching UFC 83? A little US vs Canada for a change... (what a relief for you Brasil haterz, j/k)

Georges St. Pierre will try to taste revenge against Long Island's Matt "The Terror" Serra.

and for those who think there is no option besides PPV...

So MMA comes full circle with both Elite XC and soon UFC on network television....

"MMAPayout.com has learned that FOX is now widely believed to be the leading candidate to become the UFC's network television partner."

Man, I am dissapointed Rashad isnt going to have the opportunity to end Chuck's career. I dont even want to see how lousy this card in june is going to be now.

I agree except for the your Jardine pick... Silva is much more likely to bounce back/kick ass at this point. IMO, if Silva doesn't win this fight, and in a respective manner, he stays where he is at in the minds of most if not worse so. Hopefully, he has overcome his "official" I'm here at UFC for sure now, no more Pride rules, and all the other shit. If not, well, it just wouldn't be good for anyone. Those who have watched him in Pride should know at the very least that we should all want him to perform as he puts the fkn beatdowns.... down! Anyone seen the two fights against Rampage? (the black buy that knocked knock-out man Liddell out) I'll find the videos for ya
