People don't want to see a recession come; they don't realize that it's part of an economic cycle (e.g. the bubble has to burst sometime).

By cutting interest rates, sending out billions in government bailouts, inflation/stagflation and shipping jobs overseas because of globalization: our economy gets worse.

yes. to try to make people not have to deal with unemployment, people think that lowering interest rates will boost the economy... but it hurts exchange rate a lot and our buying power. But oh well, foreigners can get our shit for cheap - so hypothetically more exports

Retraining is what people should focus on if specific jobs leave or are cut. But a lot of Americans are stubborn and lazy to do that. There is nothing that says when a manufacturing job goes to Mexico another one is created here to go along with it (accounting, engineering, administration, etc.) but then again dumb, uneducated, untrained people are just plain in excess supply and don't want to be paid what they are worth so they support higher minimum wages they don't deserve and put them out of jobs and make cheap dumb labor in mexico, india, or china attractive to businesses, yay

On the positive side: intelligent and educated are going to always be in demand.

Why is it the government’s job to “pull” us out of a recession? Let the market do the work. A little tweak here, a few billion there, and another program is not going to fix it. Recessions are inevitable. The same way we allow the market to go up we need to allow the market to go down. Ups and downs happen. Sometimes they are bigger and sometimes they are smaller (in both respects). As long as the market, in the long run, is on the incline we are ok. If we had a truly free market this would be happening.

Rich people also create jobs, especially when you give them money to do so. If you continue to tax the hell of them then they don't have any money to invest in new businesses, etc (i.e. new job oportunities for people).

fatalities! These figures appear to indicate that the overwhelming
majority of the members of our Media and our Politicians will pick and choose the
information on which they report. It has become continually apparent
that they continue to present only those "facts" which support their left
wing agenda driven ideology.

For example, the 'Left' proclaims that minorities are the ones truly
paying the ultimate price for our involvement in Iraq... thank God for every
American patriot who puts his or her life on the line for our country but is
the above statement actually truth or just 'leftist' spin?

It shows the following FACTS about the distribution of American citizens,

Never forget, it was the Clinton administration that forced the military
to release terrorist Osama bin Laden when we actually had him in our grasp!
I really do hope and pray that during the time between now and election
day in November, that Americans will decipher and separate the facts from

Fox News has a different interpretation on the death figures than you imply in your post. The largest cause of death during the peacetime years was automobile accidents. The military now has half as many people as it did then thanks to Rumsfeld's leaner, meaner, etc. Here is a link to their report:
