    obama the hypocrite

im sure you guys have seen this shit but i find it comical. typical politician and it doesnt matter.. republican or democrat. they are all like this

"I understand MSNBC has suspended Mr. Imus," Obama told ABC News, "but I would also say that there's nobody on my staff who would still be working for me if they made a comment like that about anybody of any ethnic group. And I would hope that NBC ends up having that same attitude."

You aren't the only one - some of the hysteria taking place is too good to ignore. I no longer watch the evening news for information.....I watch it for entertainment.

              Awesome.
I keep on thinking... If a white person attacked the issue head on like this, what would happen? Because of course we don't have any experience with discrimination, right?
              Right.

I'm not telling a sob story or anything, but I'll tell you what, I thought my first name was "honkey" the first 15 years of my life. I knew all the shortcuts home, and I'm still a pretty fast runner. Seems the odds were always stacked against me, fightwise, us being the ONLY white family in our subdivision. Yeah. I felt that pent up hate, and I had to stand by while I heard the "held down by the man" rhetoric.

When is it going to end? When will the debt be repaid, or are we just going to keep dragging it out forever? When an African American becomes President, will that show that the citizens have moved on? That no one is held down? Or if Mr. Obama doesn't become president, is it going to be because he's "black", and held down by the man?

obama states imus should be fired for hateful comments and that anyone who felt that way would never work for him. as a tofu eating liberal i dont imagine you see the parallels

Different events, past is past, and one can infer feelings of similarity from an event.

I don't think African Americans should hold slavery against present day white man, I mean, I never owned any slaves, nor my parents, nor their parents, nor their parents. Slavery is not my fault.

You can't internalize the past history and own it like someone shanked you.

I don't get pissed at Scottish Campbell people for killing my ancsetor's in 1692. They didn't do it to me.

i dont believe he owned any slaves. at least he doesnt state it in his post. but he did get beat down as a kid. so i understand his point. i too was harassed in high school and could only use certain doors . we had white entrances and black entrances and you got beat if you went in the wrong door.

im sorry but did obama's preacher call someone a dirty white devil? no. all he did was say that there is a lot of racism in this country, which there is. it wasn't hateful, it was a start comment on the state of race relations in this country. i'm not defending everything he said, just the fact that a lot of what he said has been taken out of context.
