no waste and the energy created by fusion is 3 to 4 times that of the energy released by fission! Problem is it takes an insane amount of energy in to produce fussion reactions. Minimun ignition temp is like 180 million degrees!!! So with that said, the 2nd problem is confinement.

It doesnt mean warm weather for everyone. It means hot warm climates get really hot, and cold climates get really cold (sound familiar?) And it also means more severe hurricanes and storms.

warmest date on record was in the 1920's (or was it the teens? one or the other)... co2 rises congruently yet SLIGHTLY lagging behind a graph of warming trends... etc. If I wasn't tired I'd have more examples to cite that global warming happens over, and over agin.

There was an ice age, and a time when the world was hot enough to not sustain a great deal of life. This is just what happens to the world over time.

I'm not about to say that the world isn't warming (but the snow pack in oregon is above average I believe) but to say that your car is why it's happening is not looking at data accurately.

It's up to each individual - but I'm just convinced. This wasn't a thing until Al Gore went postal regarding this whole situation - it's his last gasp for fame.

Also - I drive a 4.4 x5 and a great deal of fossil fuel on a daily basis. I also enjoy passing dipshits in their toyota Prius' who think they are saving the world by buying a 30k hybrid. These people have drank the proverbial kool-aid to the greastest degree, and think they are better than everyone else because of it. Sad day for them.

Sorry bro, I just think you're misguided. Tomorrow when I have time, I'll refute this up one side and down the other. Oceanic drifts (and their temps) influence a great deal of the worlds climate - and that doesn't lend itself to what you're suggesting.

Well, my opinion is based on 2 parts, and make no mistake, it is only my opinion, with a highly over simplified analogy, and no supporting facts, so take it with a grain of salt.

                          1) I live in Texas, and I lived in Longview when we set record high's and record droughts for Texas some 6-8 years ago. and I can tell everyone quite blatantly, regardless of if you live somewhere that is experiencing warmer climate shifts than normal annually, we aren't. It has been remarkably cool for Texas the last 3-4 years. Last summer I think we broke 100 maybe 3 days, and for the most part we have had a continuous fall/winter (for Texas) for the entire last year.

                          2) Somewhere between thermal transfer and continentiality, comes this little idea. If we were heating up globally, and we wouldn't notice, because if the ice caps continually melted they would be bring global temperatures down in my mind. If you pour a hot soda into a glass, filled say 3/4ths of the way with ice, there is enough ice that it is able to drop the soda to a low enough temperature that the rate at which it absorbs the heat (melts) slows to a near standstill because the temperatures become so close to one another. If you poured the same hot soda into a cup onto 2 ice cubes, yes they would be melted, however the temperature of the soda would still lower because the heat has been absorbed by the ice. So, the way I see it, melting ice caps, freeing up ice into the oceans, would cool the earth down before they ever melted enough for us to experience true global warming.

The only concept I find moderately believable is greenhouse effect, and not that we are heating the earth but rather that the atmosphere, regardless of human cause, probably is deteriorating, but unlikely at any rate that would cause real harm before we blow ourselves up or move to a new planet anyways.

                          Just my thoughts.

"the years 1998-2005 global average temperature did not increase (there was actually a slight decrease, though not at a rate that differs significantly from zero). "

Regardless - and everyone agrees - pollution needs to stop. littering needs to stop. We're all poisoning our environments and paying the price.

                                Completely agree.

I think global warming is a crock of shit (obviously), but I am in total favor of recycling, properly disposing of harzardous materials, and generally taking care of the environment. We should spend this money that is being wasted in this global warming hoax to make recycling recepticals more easily accessible in public places and continuing education for people on how to recycle.
