Now every shitty DJ feels like he's a star because the culture allows it. Back "in the days", a club DJ had barely more recognition than the janitor. Low wages in regard of talent. It is true that now with automatically synchronized CD players, the game is easy. Especially with the uniformity of the music and tracks having all the same BPM.

BTW I used to be a huge fan of that black street culture because kids were bringing something new and watching Grand Mixer DST perform his routines was an eye opener. Just as 1977's punks did bring a new way of doing things. BTW Zulu Nation was all about te black culture. Never did Afrika Bambaata ever foresaw that every white trash trailer park teenager would want to emulate them...

Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

I saw Grand Mixer DST twice, and GrandMaster Flash twice too. Once with Melle Mel back in the mid 80's, and once solo two years ago. I like old school DJs. The Wild Style!!!!

BTW I still have all these early 12 inchers. Lots of Old School B Boys stuff in their original pressings. Small collection of 2k vinyls.

Records are keepers. Too many memories. I still have many records with their vinyl wrapping only slit open. Watching Grand Master Flash perform the "Wheel of steel" and other classic mixes with Chic's "Good Times" was heaven on earth.

If you are into the Club scene, and living in South Florida, I am pretty sure that Grand Master Flash would be glad to do a gig down South. That guy is huge in Europe where fans still pay respect to old school heroes.

Yeah, I'm not gonna lie. I'm young and still a student of hip-hop but hey I'm willing to learn. I just work with what I know for know.

I just never knew so many hip-hop heads were on r3v.

Gambler is good but not that good. There's so many crews in Europe and the one thing Gambler lacks is FLAVA.

You live in florida right? Man..check out your local scene, they don't call it Flava Florida for no reason. Bboys down there are too ill....
