why do people flock to these big banks? i use a local, established credit union. they keep mah moneez safe, and never fuck shit up. i was abroad for 3 weeks, my ATM fees were like 50 cents. all my friends with b of gay or wells/wamu were paying 5-10 bucks per withdrawal. lame.
although my mortage is through US Bank, and they've been fairly nice to me so far. They also extended a $25,000 heloc to me a month after we bought the house, right in the middle of the stock market crash, at a 5.25% rate... I thought it was odd, but I accepted just to have the liquidity available if I need it.Comment

Hah, what a crock of shit.
After declining me on an $8000 line of credit, they (US Bank) decided to call me today (a month later) and tell me that im #90 out of their 100 top customers at the Gahanna Branch, and that they want me to open one of their savings accounts. I told them no, they can keep their .25% interest because I dont want to get Reg. D fucked, which is why I closed my savings in the first place.
What a bunch of cons.Comment
