    Absolutely.

Do you honestly think that Mister "100 more years in Iraq" and "bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran" will cut spending?

      You're pretty slow aren't you...
No, he is just being a Gator. He is refusing to answer legitimate questions, ignoring facts, and flip flopping more than he claims McCain is. He wants it both ways I guess. (BTW, Gator is not a reference to your favorite sports team or pet, it is short for Instigator ie, Troll)

Listen, he has to admit to himself that he is a liberal. But he has been conditioned by the left too. He is as much a victim as he is a villain. He actually thinks he is a moderate, but has been so inundated by the liberal media and since questioning what sounds nice isn't in his genes, he just gets sucked in further and further. It is pretty sad really. It is a crime that happens all too often and it is a condition that can only be treated by a dose of personal responsibility which is so hard to find in this Age of Entitlement.

        Now you're just flat-out lying.

I think the federal government spending would have lead to GREATER deficit without the tax cuts than with them.

And funny you blame BOOOOSH for spending. The increase in MANDATORY spending, aka social security, medicare, medicaid, etc is 150% of the increases of discretionary spending between FY2007 and FY2008. Those are long-term issues that don't care who is in office. Accrediting the deficit to BUSH when a strong part of the increase from 07 to 08 is MANDATORY is ignorant and weak.

Sure, Iraq is expensive and so is homeland security stuff, but oh well... the 80s ended up fairly well. The real concern is the programs with lack of foresight to deal with the baby boomers growing old, no longer working and still needed $ from the government. If want budget surpluses, just kill old people... but since they are the votes who vote, I don't think any grannocide will occur.

            both of you are morons.

Subsidizing every little detail in order to keep government small cost United States to be in such deficit.

Republicans made government small, but got businesses run everything for us. All paperwork and legwork is done by third parties now.

Democrats, through higher taxes, want to not subsidize as much and increase the size of government. This way many things would be properly handled and easily overseen.

Both ideas have serious flaws. And this is not even starting ethics and morals debate.

United States doesn't need to raise taxes, in actuality, United States doesn't need taxes at all. Government should take advantage of the capitalist politics, and start making money on it's own.

No, government should not give every body a job, but government can not look at unemployment and expect capitalist to hand out jobs. it's a fucked up system, but it's no socialism.

Personally, I am going to play the racist card on the election day. I do like McCain more, and I like what he stands for. One thing I hate the most about Obama, is the fact that black community will vote for him, no matter what he says or does. That's beyond ignorant, and for that alone, I am voting against black community. And I know there are racist who'll voter McCain because he's white, but all those ignorant groups are republicans to begin with, LOL.

                Wow ! !

I could give a shit who gets in office. Although I would lean towards wanting O man in getting in mainly because of his ridiculous policies he has suggested, only would make my clubs and business fronts better than it currently is. Afterall when the economy does take a huge shit my unreported income only goes through the roof.

That and democrats usually take bribes more often so I can get the picking on good local/state and some federal government contracts...

I remember the 90's with a great deal of fondness. Everybody had money, everybody was happy, people weren't dying in an illicit war, and the Fed had a budget surplus.

Funny that the last Dem president left a budget surplus behind in 1999, and now we have a $490 BILLION deficit looming ahead of us.

                  Those tax cuts REALLY work!

Every moron knows that the current group of Repubs head the largest, most bloated government in the history of the United States.

The best part is you have no clue how the system fucking works seeing as how the republican congress was holding the reigns to the budget during clintons term.

Its both a blessing and a curse. Ignorant people focus so much on the president they have no idea how little control he really holds. The nice thing is they get lazy and forget to vote for their congressional leaders so not too much damage can get done.
                      Im now E30less.

The Dems have control right now, but you wouldnt know that since you know jack about the government. ALthough the Dems dont even know they have control.

I also hate the term "baby Boomers". the generations of people who worked their asses off for the past 40-50 years to give us the country that we have, somehow deplete out economy by calling upon their social security? that they have paid for?

                            I have no clue?

You were wearing diapers when Clinton took over the reins.

I know exactly how it works, and I know that good old Dubya can't hold Clinton's jock. Dubya has swollen the deficit every single year - with a Repub congress and without.

You're really a moron, you know that?

The spending didn't increase until 2001, and the revenue decrease didn't happen until 2001 either. The revenue turned around and quickly began increasing in 2003. Are you seriously that dumb not to see the difference in spending/revenues and dates? Tax rate cuts definitely helped tax revenues.

Mandatory spending is the cause of deficits:

Rough numbers, if mandatory spending was still the same ratio to discretionary, there would be $1trillion swing (i.e. $500 billion surplus), but the costs of entitlement programs has been growing outrageously.
