...Please allow this bickering to go to another thread. ...
Maybe you should have picked a better title then. You started the bickering in the very first post. When will you just let it go? We get it. You're a conservative. Good for you.

I would even give you a place to stay if you were effected.

I'm not asking for a place to stay :)

I'm just pointing out how hypocritical it is of you to start a politically charged thread, with the title and the original post having more to do with politics than hurricanes, then bitch at people for talking about politics.

Not in this thread was it ever a political discussion started by me. The headline was a joke as the stupidness of some that claim that Bush caused Katrina. Followed by the NAACP claiming the gov was behind the levies bursting. I tried to keep the thread clean and offer my house as a refuge for those that might get effected by a storm such as this one.

Even conservatives are nice at times!:p

Apparently I need to make it really obvious for you.

A joke, get real! Anyone in their right mind would get that.

                        Alright guys, quit the bickering.
Here's a projected path update, updates regularly. Looks like it is going to pick up a lot of speed and strength in the next 12 - 24 hours. I'm currently trying to find somewhere to keep my car since I don't have a garage and have a bunch of TALL pine trees around my house.

So true. I remember watching some program on weather channel just post-Katrina and it detailed how there's a stronger & weaker side of a hurricane. It all just depends on which side the eye of the storm passes on. If the eye passes just to the west of NO, then they are in line to see the worst of it.

To the locals of the region - take cover, stay safe!!!

Yea, there is a low pressure zone that is sitting next to the peninsula. The "hurricane experts" are saying that that is going to pull Gustav to the west some. That means we get to get pounded by the east side of the storm which is going to be really fun.
