people live down there because its like winning the lotto. If it hits, you get free food and housing, free $2000 gift cards and interest free or interest low loans. Plus the other Americans feel sorry for you. 2 times in 3 years is like winning the powerball!
JK, New Orleans is a beautiful city, was and still is. The people of New Orleans is what gives it its flavor. I would not live here myself, but it is one bad ass party town. I just wish people had morals so it would not be so rough.
Joking aside, I did start this thread to help any local R3v member that might get tangled up in this mess. Any color, I am not as bad as I appear on the web. I only make fun of the few that took advantage of a horrible situation.
Good luck to all!Build your own dreams, or someone else will hire you to build theirs!

Why aren't people openly racist?
After Katrina black people really showed what they were about as a community. It was shown by all "rights" activists, rappers, and black politicians. It was sickening.
FEMA messed up, but so did local government of LA. People didn't turn on the mayor who was golfing that day far away, or anybody who worked for the city.
I would like to be the first person to say that I am truly racist. I hate the race of morons, regardless of color, religion, nationality, and etc. Those retarded (not clinically) motha-fuckers should learn how to swim or MOVE.
Also, I heard the storm will only be 3.0.
Since majority of returning population was hispanic who looked for construction work. Everything will be just fine, they got plenty of practice on their way from Cuba and swimming over Rio Grande.

Well, because racism isn't a very good idea. However, I'm also not a fan of people being subliminaly racist either, which seems extremely prevalent in today's society. So this is really a slippery slope.
I agree that I too was pretty blown away by the aftermath of Katrina. The crimes people were commiting against each other, the way people generally behaved twoards property, etc. That was pretty nasty stuff then went on. This has nothing to do with color of skin/etc. Black, white, purple, or striped - that wasn't good stuff that happened in the wake of the storm. Now, if you were in their position, what would you do? It's easy to arm chair this, but I still thought that some of the behavior by some of the people really highlighted some serious problems. Those people who were honest, scared, and frightened must have had a hell of a time with what was going on around them. After Katrina black people really showed what they were about as a community. They stepped on their dicks. In general. This highlighted how massively unprepared we were as a nation for this kind of natural disaster. That doesn't make what happened OK, not in the least. It did, for me any way, highlight why I don't want the government to be my source for problem solving.FEMA messed up, but so did local government of LA. I'm with you on the first part, but telling people to swim or move isn't really in-step with the general theme of what you're trying to say. People can live there, and they DO need to make sure that in the wake of Katrina they need to do whatever they can to help themselves be prepared in the event this happens again. The people who were caught in this storm the first time are not retarded... they were massively unprepared and depended far too heavily on the GOV for help. Now, if this happens all over again to all of the same people, either the government fucked up again (highly possible) or these people really don't understand that the hot stove burns every time you touch it.I would like to be the first person to say that I am truly racist. You need to be very concerned about the status of your account after posting that.Since majority of returning population was hispanic who looked for construction work. Everything will be just fine, they got plenty of practice on their way from Cuba and swimming over Rio Grande.

You took me apart there. Status of account?
i guess, I'll respond the same way:
Then let it all go. I am attending historically black school. If anyone asks my opinion, no matter how racist it is, I say it. I haven't been shot in 3 years. Black people know all the same shit that white people know. Black people say same racist shit white people are afraid to say. Slippery slope? Let it all slide. Stick and stones may brake my bones, but Al Sharpton/Jesse Jackson can suck my dick, when I call them ignorant n*ggers (people who annoy you).
Yes, Kanye West and Al Sharpton suffered greatly.I agree that I too was pretty blown away by the aftermath of Katrina. Forget FEMA, when will people understand that there's a reason why Washington DC is not a part of any states. Fucking look at the map and realize that. Geography is not complicated. They stepped on their dicks. In general. This highlighted how massively unprepared we were as a nation for this kind of natural disaster. That doesn't make what happened OK, not in the least. It did, for me any way, highlight why I don't want the government to be my source for problem solving.
I give Bush credit for taking all of Katrina punches thrown at him.
I actually oversimplified the solution on purpose. People need to see the extremes to which they have to go to save their own asses. After 9/11 I donated blood to RedCross and didn't even get a cookie. After Katrina, I I watched Cooper be Mother Theresa. I wanted to know where Saints were going to play. I felt bad for rescued pets. I felt sad for people who were not capable, like hospitals. But I didn't trip on my way to donate blood, no the door did not hit me on my ass. I didn't lose much sleep. If they are looking for me to come up with solutions for them, then they should start shopping for a float or a snorkel.I'm with you on the first part, but telling people to swim or move isn't really in-step with the general theme of what you're trying to say. It's a joke, hope most people see it that way, i hope. If not, I suggest, go shop for a float or a snorkel, AND a helmet.Last edited by Aptyp; 08-27-2008, 07:55 PM.Comment
