As much fun as poking holes in each others' faith is, I'll just state that I wasn't expecting what Pallin delivered. I figured there was less to her than just being good for the anti-abortion faction (which I'm part of) - but she's got guts.

And if there was ever a scenario where McCain was killed/died/incapacitated - I got to say I'd sleep just fine knowing she had "The big red button" at her disposal. She's smart enough to be where she is, and I don't think she's as much of a wild card as I wrote her off as initially.

good luck - none of the truly exceptional people would ever want that job. they're all too busy making their fortune and contributing in the private sector. why take a job where you're going to have your past history dug up, made fun of, scrutinized, critizised, and for what benefit? My daughter got pregnant when she was 16 yrs old. She is now getting her B.S. in Nursing. Are you saying she was a whore? My granddaughter who was from my daughter has CP at birth...is now 6 yrs old. But regarding Palin. Two thing I DO NOT like about her.

#1 She fully support anti-abortion and want to make abortion illegal. That is wrong. Period, I never understood pro-life nut jobs always blowing up abortion clinics. WTF. I can see all the bloody coat hangers in the trash and tore up fetus and waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles lining being flushed down the toilet. And the additional health care costs involved when these ladies need their uterus's sewn back up and fight the infection from such a procedure. Then being thrown into jail for aborting the baby in the first place. Fuck you, its a individuals body and if they want a abortion they should be able to do so.

#2 She fully supports creationalism education in public schools. She also believes are war in Iraq is gods war. Hmm so does the opposing force. Hmm shes cristain and they are islam. Who's right? Ask god. Keep youfucking religion out of my government.

#1 - So you are trying to avoid the costs of some surgery by killing someone? I don't think abortion clinics should be blown up, but legally ending abortion is something I would like to see. It probably wont happen and I am not a 1 issue voter, so meh on that. It does speak to her character and speaks well to me. This thread is not the place to defend abortion though. You can have your view and I will have mine, but Obama being cool with aborting in the 3rd trimester is not cool.

#2 - If you want to cut out creation as one thing taught in public schools then cut out every other history or science lesson about how the world was created or where things came from. While I am a Christian (that is the correct spelling, btw), I don't think it should be taught in schools straight out of the Bible. Teach it scientifically like you teach everything else that talks about creation or where we came from.

And if religion and morals from those religions are part of people's lives in America they are going to be represented in the goverment. Remember that we have a goverment that is supposed to be a representation of the people of our country (that includes those that are religious and those that are not).
