but feeding the world will be an area of concern in the future, if not sooner than later... but meat consumption won't help. But with economics, it is hard to make people not want meat when they can afford it (growing consumption in Asia)
You think those countries, besides the US, have a strong agriculture? Hell, China has a whole science dedicated to making it's dead and useless soil grow plants. Well I guess we could all eat rice.

The grain feed you speak of is not consumed by vegans. It's highly modified so it can be grown quickly and cheaply to feed the beef and poultry. If you wish to replace the animals with the equivalent volume in vegan food, the grain feed that goes to them is not going to help (unless the vegans alter the "guns" they stick to, but then we're back to square one). Even replacing cattle farms with vegetable fields isn't going to be enough, you'd have to expand (so this is AFTER all cows, chickens and pigs have died).

One of my good friends is a Vegan "straight-edge" body builder. He is extremely successful.

You should pick your battles better.

I'm not picking battles I asked a question. I don't know about the other countries. I do know that historically Russia, US and Canada have been agricultural juggernauts. Russia under Stalin shifted to industrialization - a country that used to be 100% farmers (extraordinarily productive ones at that) were suddenly buying grains from the US because they focused on oil and such (which at the time was more profitable, until OPEC's moves nearly bankrupted them). That graph shows the modern state of things for the Soybean - not what would happen if each country shifted it's GDP to 100% agriculture.

If this is a fact, and hes not on roids, hes the exception, not the norm. You can be a "body builder" all you want, there are ametuers at everything. No one will be Jay Cutler or Johnnie Jackson status who is a vegan. It just wont happen.

Why the hell would they shift 100% to agriculture?

The current ag juggernuts are US, China, India, Brazil, and Argentina.

Holy jebus, dude it was sarcasm - that if the world became vegan as is apparently "technically right", then at least our economies would be better off for it. Does everything on this board have to cause someone to whip out their e-cock...

Well that's what written words are (well drivel I guess, or keyboard dribble). Their intended meaning and interpretation is up to the individual.

So, just had a bowl of cheerios with almond milk, way cleaner taste than soy, or regular milk. On that note, a lil info on suy for you guys...

Lots of other good soy info there, just need to search it.

Soy milk tastes like shit. It makes me gag trying to drink that. Kinda curious how almond milk tastes, though. I'll never give up my good ol' ice cold nonfat though.
