my BMI is "ideal" and I could definitely stand to gain some muscle and lose some fat - the reason the calculated BMI doesn't work for individuals (it works better on populations) is the original factors came from the military where they calculated individual BMI by measuring buoyancy in a pool, which does actualy measure fat content.

18% body fat IS higher than you should be, though it isnt obese. If youre 260 lbs and 18% body fat, you have a whopping 47 pounds of fat on you. Thats like a big bag of dog food.Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head off

BMI is a hilarious chart.
I'm 5' 10" and 200 lbs. Apparently I'm WAY obese (even though I'm roughly 12% body fat).
Standardized health/weight charts are completely useless. Everyone is so different from each other it's absolutely impossible to group everyone into one category.Autobahn Sport - ***503.715.0044*** - "ABS BMW Parts" on AIM

Well, overweight and obese are different. We are both overweight, we weigh more than we should. Im 10.5% body fat, but I weigh more than I should, so Im "overweight", though leaner than most. But obese has to do with a level of fat, Id put obese people ~20% body fat if I had to guess. Im far from a doctor, but Id imagine 18% bodyfat is in the real overweight category. I think we're kinda getting off track from diet, to whos fat and whos not, though lol.Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head off

I am 6'2 250lbs and according to my BMI I am obese. I may weigh a lot, and I probably am a bit overweight but there is no way I am obese.

You got a recipe for that? I've got the basic idea how it works, but do you put any special spices or anything on there (and yes, I am very aware that I am opening myself wide open for a comment or two from you).sigpic

Step 2) Throw some salt, pepper and whatever spices you want it to taste like
Step 3) Throw on a grill
Step 4) Enjoy
