Since when has man faced bear, historically, alone? You're thinking much too simple to try to win this argument.

Did you see any men hunting big game ALONE on cave paintings?

Did one man take on a mammoth? No. Stupid argument on your part. Wolves work as a pack to hunt, so can we. He just have tools, and the ability to use them to our advantage.

This isn't a thread about who's on top of the food chain. Shut the fuck up.

Since this thread my beef consumption has gone down 100%. Does not mean I won't have some tommorow.

In my experience, the vast majority of the people living this lifestyle are as far from unselfish as it gets. Everywhere they go they announce their lifestyle choice like the arrival of the king - if they could have trumpeters to play them into a room with an announcer, they'd have them. The announcement would go something like:

"Introducing Douchess Vagina the first, lover of all living things, loather of all humans different from her. You shall not eat meat in her presence or risk being killed by the death stare of Medusa. You shall have food and furniture available for her use which meet her strict, self-sacrificing lifestyle criteria, or God help you, you won't fucking hear the end of it."

I'm all for self-sacrifice but if you make others' lives difficult, that's not self-sacrifice, that's sacrifice-everyone-for-self. I disagree with anything taken to the absolutely absurd. It's great if you want to avoid eating meat. But if you go to someone's house, who went to great trouble to prepare a meal for you which happens to have meat, don't be a fucking prick and have some - it's not going to kill you, put your principles on the shelf for 30 minutes, make another human being happy - that's self-sacrifice. If you're on the road, you're starving and you find a convenience store which has nothing but some fresh deli and milk, and a pile of chips and twinkies - guess what the healthier choice is at the moment?

Hell even in the army you are allowed to filter orders through your common sense. Surely your diet is no more crucial than military orders.

Maybe you dont get what a food chain is. photosynthetic being (grass/alfalfa) -> Cow -> Human. It doesnt have much to do with what can kill the cow. A Vulture can be where the human is (branched off to the side actually, if its a food web, and not chain), since its the secondary consumer.

Its funny, we have a vegan here at work. I always give him shit, tell him he's protein deprived. I ask how much protein he thinks he gets a day, he replies "Easily enough, Id say at least 20g". 20g of protein a day? That is nowhere near enough protein to gain muscle.

That is my #1 problem with veggies/vegans. The lack of protein you can intake. And to intake protein, the majority of it has to be of soy form, which I frankly do NOT enjoy. Veggie burgers and soy milk suck dick. Soy protein shakes are ok, but Id have to live off of that and beans. Id like to bet, that out of all the veggies/vegans here, none are too muscular.

I love how when you talk about being top of the food chain you all completely take intelligence of the equation, and jump straight to weather or not you could kill something with your bare hands. We're on the top of the food chain because we're the first mammals to use tools.

I hate regular milk since I started drinking soy. No more funky film in your mouth. And, I got some Almond milk to try on my kashi in the morning.
