A million copies of his last cd in one week not good enough to be the self proclaimed music voice of the decade. Im pretty sure everyone in my generation (im 20) knows at least 10 kanye songs.

rap may have died but hip hop is alive and booming. If you want to listen to some good music with lyrics that have meaning look up Common Market and Blue Scholars. They have the same producer and are bringing some attention to the seattle hip hop scene. I saw common market last weekend at a private show in bellingham and he does a verison of come together that is sick. (it isnt on any cd's but it is on youtube)
