I think the Storm is a pretty cool looking phone. Havent had a chance to see one in person yet. But i'll tell you what... My 1st gen iphone will sell on ebay for what i intially paid for it a little over a year ago. You gotta admit... you dont get too much of that with cell phones.

I don't understand texts. I have a client that text messages me and I never call her back. WTF. If you want to talk to me, call me. Why would you text me to ask me to call you? I'm on my second iPhone, first was a grey market 1st Gen, the one I have now is 3G. All I have previously had Razr's etc, no smart phones per se, but I did borrow a few friend's Blackberry's for trial runs and did not like them personally. I will concede that the Qwerty keypad is great for most ppl and email is a breeze, but I have no problems whatsoever with the iPhone keypad and actually prefer it over the Blackberrys (I realize this is not the popular belief amongst most ppl). I find the camera acceptable, however 3.2 would be that much nicer. WiFi is the tits! I don't pay for any data plan whatsoever, and seriously, I have computers at home, work - shit they are in bookstores, cafes etc etc plus with WiFi almost everywhere nowadays do I really need to be connected to the internet 24/7?

I was seriously contemplating the Storm, but for me the iPhone won. It just does so many things better IMHO

Im getting the same experience. I'll never buy an iPhone, but thats not to say i wont buy an iPod touch.
I have to have a Blackberry for work, since we're a Blackberry only shop at the moment. But yeah, I think this phone will get better over time.

The iphone had its own issues like this at the beginning. Only is it a decent phone (keyword decent) because theyve had 2 years to fix all the bullshit.

Well I'm going to get it today. My girlfriend has had one for a few weeks and I dig it, the 3G connection on it here in Tulsa is nearly as fast as our broadband landline, impressive IMHO. And unlike many, I don't find the keyboard hard to type on.

I don't need a Blackberry/similar for work so I want one purely for the Internet and apps.

And through work we get a 20% off service with ATT, no % off through Verizon. Means I can have an iPhone, texts, data plan and all that jazz for only about $10 a month more than what I'm paying at Tmobile.

Played with a Storm last night at the VZ store. I'm definately going to get one but they are sold out everywhere and I was told Dec. 5th would be when they get the next shipment.

I really like the click screen feature and there are some other features I like over the iPhone like the ability to swap out SDCard for media, replacable battery, the 3.2 MP camera w/ flash and zoom plus the ability to attach pics and videos to emails.

On top of that AT&T's GSM service absolutely stinks in TN because it does not seem to work well around this terrain. It always seems like you either have 4 bars or none. Verizon works practically everywhere I go. Even when we were camping in the Blue Ridge Mnts or in the Smokies I still get 1 or 2 bar signals.

So......

The phone seems to be a lot more stable feeling. It flows through programs more seemslessly. It only takes 1-2 seconds to rotate upon turning portrait to landscape and vice versa as opposed to 3-5 seconds. Just feels better. Typing feels better too. Not sure why or how. But definitely the load times and rotation is faster. Cant deny or imagine that!

So Storm owners... grab your .75 update!!!!

So after updating yesterday, I gotta say, I really like this phone more. All the lagging annoying retarded bullshit from before has been really toned down. Not that it doesnt lag, but last night I was laying in bed listening to music, and browsing the internet all while switching applications back and forth checking emails and text. It took it like a champ...

Apple is going to be selling iPhones in Walmart shortly.

I predict iPhones will no longer be cool in about 2 months. Nothing that is "cool" has ever become hugely adopted by the masses.

Enlighten me here: Are third party applications available for BB's? If not, i'm sure people have unlocked (or hacked or cracked or whatever) them. So have you unlocked yours? Is there even a need?

I know my apple phone is 100% more useful when it is jailbroken.

I'd love to have one of these. My phone sucks so badly. I'm with AT&T though so I guess it won't be happening.
