i am telling you, DROP THE HAMMER on these KIDS. they obviously can't afford to swing the rent share that you pay on their own (that is why they have you). they aren't going to dump you or risk it (shit, they panicked when the utilities were too high). you can make it work out to YOUR advantage with out fucking them over.

trust me! don't let them make you not want to be at home when you are paying rent and utilities there!

I'm kinda half way tempted to build an e30 limo, but probably not going to happen.

The worst part of this thing is the air compressor, I only have an 80 gallon tank, so I can't cut for long, but this thing is rated to cut half an inch makes quick work of cars.

just don't forget to remove the insulation before you cut! also if you can remove the paint etc where you are going to make your cuts, the tips will last longer. them little bitches are 'spensive!

Hi. I am a 45 year old car stereo installer looking to move out of my current roomate situation. The kids are nice, but I am all out of patience with the dirty dishes, the "missing" food, the washer/dryer always being full (with the culprit gone, of course)but none of that is bad enough to make me want to move.

The point is that the place I have now is great, all in all, but I need garage space.

I need a place where I can work on cars. I build old BMWs for fun and profit in my spare time. I need a garage where I can build cars. I work clean, my cars always come out pretty...not too much into doing basic "repair", but full rebuilds. Maintenance, of course, but I need a space where I can keep a couple of cars while gathering parts.

I also build speakers. Nice home speakers, custom stuff. The sawdust is some serious stuff, but as a bonus, it cleans oil like nothing else.

Again, I like to keep my work area clean, but seriously, an attached garage is not gonna work out too well.

I am stable, easy to get along with, fun, semi-intellegent. I play pool as a hobby, but I do not drink or drug...but I don't see any issues with someone else drinking or smoking a bit now and then either.

I do smoke cigarettes, outside ONLY. I love cats, but would prefer to not have a dog around, unless really BIG and calm...and you are meticulous about cleaning up after it.

So, if you have a place, maybe with a pole barn or something where I can do my thing, shoot me an email. Tell me a bit about yourself and what you have to offer. I would not be ready to move until 2/1/09, but can do something earlier if things work out that way.
Oh yeah, I should probably point out that I would prefer a nicer, clean house, somewhere I can have a small gathering of friends occasionally, plus a decent living space. Master bath is a MAJOR bonus!

see what you get in responses, but (since i am stubborn) i think you can make your current situation work for you, just lay down the law a little.

that is a good ad, but as someone who has looked for roommates off of Craig's list i see the "works on old BMW's"as some one who is going to have a bunch of car crap around everywhere until they show me i am wrong. other people see you as a free mechanic for them. i am sure you don't want to do it for free.

it helps that i hate to move too. I'd stick it out until the little lady gets down there and then ride off into the sunset. let yourself simmer down over the issues over the weekend, then look at the situation again. at least they don't use and loose your tools ETC. take a little bad with the good until you can get to where you want to be.

to be fair on your situation Jflipp, it is your choice to not be home. as long as the bills are not sky high, because you are all roommates, you are still responsible for an equal portion of the bills. if you were so uncomfortable there you should have
A: done something about it by: cleaning up the house yourself (i have done this myself, it sucks!)

B: make the roommates fall in line and not eat your food and clean up after themselves

C: move in with your G/F.

on the other side of the coin, if your G/F has a roommate/s, it is not fair for you to be over there constantly and not paying rent or a share of the bills. if my roommates have people over all of the time past 3 nights a week on a regular basis, they can chip in for the utilities. especially if they are using the shower, laundry, cooking, ETC.

Me and my GF did end up moving in together, sooner than it woulda been (we were only together 3 months). Its not fair for me to pay half the bill if Im never there, and my best friend had no job and was playing MY PS2 all day lol. but yeah, that lasted a couple months, and I moved. No hard feelings towards them, Im still good friends with them. I will just never have roommates again, for those reasons listed.

Id advise just telling them how you feel Luke, and if they dont respect it, look elsewhere.

My GF has been having similar problems with her roommate. The dude never cleans his shit, wastes heat, is disrespectful, has parties without warning, moved HIS BOYFRIEND in but doesn't think its a problems. He thinks his BF should be able to stay there for free, use kitchen space, wash clothes and shower and not have to pay anything because they share a room. This is such a common issue and I don't know why? Why do people think that just because they stay in a room together its ok? Some people are really F'ing dumb and think that they don't have to follow the rules. A contract was signed and says that everything will be split between the 2 people living the said apartement. Two people, not three, four or five.

We went to the office today and talked to them about it. The F'd up thing is that she lived with him for a year before this and he insisted they move because the old place wasn't nice enough. So they moved to the current location which is a really nice place and even came with a 60" plasma screen TV free of charge because of a mix-up. The only reason they were able to move is because my GF is good with her money. She lent his gay ass money to move there (he paid her back finally). They've been there 3 months. The generous deal my GF made last month with the boner twins was that his but buddy pay for cable and internet. He attempted to do that and got Queerwire which never really worked. Instead the gay duo just takes bong hits all day long. They have plenty of money for they're 1/8 a day habit. The thing is her rommmate agrees with everything they talk about and then never does any of it. I don't get people like him. Nobody ever has said anything about me staying over there and my GF even asked him and he said "no he's cool" ,but even before that I'd kick them some cash every now and then and buy them food just because I'm there a lot. I know how it is to have someone around all the time even if you like them. By making a move before they feel uncomfortable I made it so they were happy to have me there, rather than becoming a burden.

Anyways, they talked earlier tonight before my GF went to work and came to a quick conlusion. My GF is moving out and someone is moving in, contingent upon them qualifying financially. Its going to be a joke and I look forward to that place falling apart without my GF playing mother. My GF can be very passive agressive and isn't good with confrontation and like to keep things really clean. Those are her faults. I know if it was me I could make things work but it doesn't really matter because she shouldn't have to. Asuming the new person qualifies, my GF will be moving into her mother and stepfathers house at the end of the month. She'll live there while saving up money to live on her own..........and I'll be jerking off and not getting laid :down: It sucks soooo bad, you should have seen her ealier today in some of the victoria secret stuff I bought her for Christmas....sooo hot :-P Want pics??? Why doesn't she come live with me you ask? Because, thats why.

Wow, I had the exact same thing happen to me in college. But my flatmate(shared a two bedroom beach apartment) moved his horse-faced girlfriend in. And when I say horse-faced, I really mean it. I almost offered her an apple when I first saw her.

I kid you not. Horse-faced. She makes that chick on "million dollar listings" look fuckable.

One day, with out asking, she was just there. 24/7. A horse face in my apartment. Eating my oatmeal. Drinking my milk.

I would cook a fancy dinner for a new girl, they would come down stairs, "OH smells good!" - and at that point if you want to get any trim that night you have to say "well, join us!"

In two years of living with them, him and her only clean the bathroom once. Once.

This is what happens when people move from their parents house to a dorm with a maid, to living in a apartment.
