I was thinking the EXACT same thing. It's funny that the reasoning people use to stick up for stuff they're into is often the same reasoning they bash other people for using. Because skateboarding and BMX were NEVER trends or fads. There was never anyone that started riding BMX or skateboarding because their friends did it, or they saw other people doing it, and thought it looked like fun.

              LOL!

You and Anderson got all riled up over me busting balls about fixies. You guys took me WAY too seriously. Honestly, I have no problem with the fixie/single-speed thing.

hell yeah. good times. im not a 'fan' of drifting per say, but i can relate to that.

I think the drift/grip argument can be settled by saying that anyone who's experienced in drifting is going to run circles around other drivers, whether they're sideways circles or not.
Not that I care, of course.

                        LOL, funny.

It's a cool show and all and I respect the skills.

However, drifting is the synchronized swimming of motor sports.

sometimes sideways is faster, depending on the car and the track section

also Hallen, it's more like figure skating ;)

A certain section of track being faster by hanging the back out is a far cry from "anyone who's experienced in drifting is going to run circles around other drivers." The best drivers, and motorcycle riders for that matter, know when to rotate the car using the rear. I doubt many of them have drifted, at least as this thread depicts.

I don't understand the chip drifters have on their shoulder.
