Yamaguchis are retarded expensive, really top-end shit. You'd be able to pick up a killer bike for less than 1k though. I'm probably going to pick up a Mercier Kilo tt soon... they can be had for ~350 complete. There are a bunch of great starter bikes out there, especially because the scene is blowing up.

Trey, you might like some of the lower end leader frames too...

But the mercier is always a solid choice.

What would one pay for one of those cycles in the pictures? Sub-$1k and I'd definitely try it out sometime soon.
Of all the ones pictured thats the one I dislike the most. Not only is that riding position painful just looking at it, it was an old Yam time trial frame IIRC that the new owner striped and cut the ends off to make it a "track bike." To reproduce most of those bikes, in good shape, you could spend roughly 3K very easily depending on components.

I guess i'll have to ride one to find out if i like it.
Can a Fixed gear bike be built for sub 500$? As I am in the market for a bike, but have not decided of what style yet.

Not really to much beginning info on F1x3d.com, just seems mostly a bunch of people who are showing off their bikes, which are cool, but not very helpful

Is it a track frame or a converted road bike? I'm interested to see pics. I've already got a converted Bianchi though- I'm looking for a track frame.

rode today for the first time in 5 months. I've had a muscle spasm in my back, plus it's cold/salty/snowy here. 45 degrees was warm enough for me!

Bike doesnt have any more shifting components on it. Its also got spd pedals instead of the ugly grey Look trashers. It looks way better in person. Maybe I should have Farbin take the pics since hes pretty much the most respected phauxteux shooter on this board.
