I know 2 really hot salmon spots, one in Oroville, one in Sacramento. I caught a 52 lb'er in Sac a while back...they tend to be larger ( 20+ avg) but more beat up there, while
in Oroville they are SUPER clean, fight HARD but avg probably closer to 15 lbs.

Catfish and bass, it's VERY hard to beat Clear Lake, mostly from a boat. I've caught cats up to 21 lbs, bass up to 8 from the bank though.

Planter trout, check out uhm...Collins Lake, east of Marysville. They plant some huge trout in there, many over 10 lbs.

Lake Davis was always a favorite, but it's gone way downhill since the pike showed up.

I know a private lake in Chico that is FULL of small bass, you can literally catch 100+ in an evening, we fly-fished a lot there.

    It goes on and on.

I miss it, anyone up around Seattle want to go fishing? lol

You'll be getting a PM shortly once I get all my fishing stuff all sorted out ;)

      Fishing? You mean hook washing?

I live on an island. I fish 3-4 times a month.

The centre console, it's pretty much just a toy, but is awesome for going after kingfish:

When I go to my beach house in Mexico (when the mexicans aren't killing gringos), I feel like a fucking God at fishing. you walk a hundred yards down shore, throw out your hook thing, spin the thing, and you'll have a fish by the time the hook gets back to your feet.

usually when my friends go fishing, they just go to get high, they never catch any fish, hell they probably don't even fish at all.

i go to british columbia , vancouver (western canada) every once in while during the salmon runs... its fun as hell, thousands of fish... you pretty much get one on every cast... lastr year i caaught a 40 pound salmon in a really rappidy river.. took me just under an hour to get it in... it also had 4 other lours in its back... i caught the gran daddy.... other than that sometimes i will go down to the river by my house and fish the toxic northern pike.. they are a good fight also, but you just realease them beause no one eats the crap that comes out of that river.

All I do when my friends fish is drink and smoke. If I wanted to get my hands dirty I'd work ony my car.
Although there is lots of good fishing around here. Shore or boat is fun. I prefer speardiving, you get to pick exactly which fish you want.

Fishing Thread! I had to add. This is from a few years ago. 36 pounds of cod I caught on the once a year deep sea fishing trip with some friends. If you don't have photos, it didn't happen. Check out the sunburn.
