Who else is tired of eBay?

I don't know if it's because Walmart has skids of computers for sale on the floor allowing anyone on the net or what but eBay has gone to hell.

I've been selling for years with over a thousand transactions at this point I'm about ready to donate my entire inventory because selling on eBay has become worse than doing customer service in a retail location.

I sell an item on 4/1 and I have a claim against me because he has not received his package via USPS priority on 4/5 (yes, that's a Sunday).

I got the claim dropped already so I suppose this is more so a rant and an attempt to spark a conversation about the stupidity that is eBay than anything else.

you know, about a year ago, I had great success with ebay, then my account was broken into, and they couldn't restore it for me. I lost all my awesome 100% feedback over 700 transactions. It pissed me off, but I started fresh, and ever since ebay has been declining. I used to sell 80% of all my parts, now I am lucky to find buyers for 25% of inventory. It's almost easier to sit on parts waiting for people to call em then list. On the flip side, eBay has been very lenient with insertion fees lately, I pay $0 to $0.05 lately.

So I sit here with feedback of 6, because no one ever leaves any feedback anymore. :(

I just hate how you have to pay listing fees, Final Value Fees, AND PayPal fees.

what has REALLY gotten on my nerves is how loaded with junk, ebay's pages are. It takes forever for adds and gadgets to finish loading before you can move pages.

the last 4 items ive bought off ebay (electronics) havent gone thought. Soon after winning the auction, i get an email saying its a fraudulent listing and it gets pulled. I've moved to shopping on craigslist.
Now look, I am not evil. My loan officer said so.

Ebay's fees and prices have made it hard to make a profit selling stuff on a regular basis in the last couple of years. My biggest problem lately is with the sellers not packaging items sufficiently even after telling them that I will pay them extra to make sure that they pack it well. I've bought propably 25 items in the last two years and 6 of them were damaged beyond repair and about another 5-6 damaged but I just didn't feel like claiming them. How fucking hard is it to package something properly?

It sucks but what alternative gives you as much exposure? I can sell an item and anyone i the world can easily find it. CL, message boards.....nothing else compares. I hate the fee structure but ebay is a necessary evil, at least until a viable alternative comes along.

I use BluntBay and get a free reach around with every listing.

                    Old thread bump.

Any ebay sellers have problems with the "10 item international rule"?
I'm registered and sucessfully selling on ebay.com, but trying to post directly to ebay.de or co.uk because the search doesn't show my items on those sites.
Problem is I fail because of some 10 item rule.

                    I have 100% positive feedback.
I have these limits (I guess only on .com):
                    You have sold 20
                    You have listed (active) 8
                    You can list 122
Out of 150 Out of $13,500.00
I have listings set with international shipping allowed, but my listings don't show up in More items related to '..' or Weitere mit „...“ verwandte Artikel
I tried a listing with 2 items (because 8 are active), still a no go.

Is it worth it calling one of the international help lines to try and work something out?
They want my money, I want international customers.

eBay has sucked for YEARS. It's all Chinese knock-off junk, big e-stores selling shit for MSRP + shipping and pricey private party listings. The last thing I bought on eBay was a TI-86 graphing calculator in 2003. You can sometimes find some vintage American machine tools and accessories on there, which my dad likes to look for, but a lot of the stuff he wants is on CL too.
