I ended up not voting at all. This last election I didn't have someone to vote for. They all sucked.

Part of me wants Obama to make me wrong. The other part knows he doesn't have a fucking clue what he's doing.
      one small disagreement
the o-man knows EXACTLY what he's doing. the man is not dumb. he is trying to re-write the constitution without a convention. what he's set in motion, with the enormous tax hikes and his pending health care "reform" will change this country for many many years. he know this, it is his specific goal, and he also knows it needs to get done before too much time goes by and people, like all you 20/30yr olds wise up to him.

      predicition......
the backlash against obama is going to be huge. i just hope it doesn't come too late.

here's one more item of things to come
there's an actor Craig T. Nelson that i caught on Glenn Beck last nite flipping thru the channels.
he's willing to go to jail, because he said he's through, he's had it with the spending, the bailouts, all the shit government has been doing for many years, both Republicans and Democrats. He's not going to pay anymore, and he knows he will go to jail.
Now this man is a father, grandfather, and pending great grand father. he's been on welfare and food stamps in his life, so he's no trust baby, he's a self made man. Not paying taxes is not for himself, its for his kids.

      prediction 2......
more of this is going to occur, as will more tea party protests

I hate to do it but " this " and the really sad thing is we will get another neocon and just get fucked by the other side again.

I truly wish people would wise up and see the personal freedom/small gov thing is the way to go.

              I love you too.

It's not that I want big government, because ideologically I am against any sort of authority. I just think that the true evil is capitalism, and if that means a planned and highly regulated economy instead, then so be it.

                highly regulated=big government.
no authority (or, at the least, as little as practical) =capitalism.

Capitalism is nothing more than taking the reins off of entrepreneurs, and allowing people to run their own businesses as best they see fit, because they will know what is best for their own business. So... do you want no authority, or no capitalism?

And why is capitalism evil, particularly if the alternative is what you have already stated you're against?

Economy isn't everything. There are also social issues, justice issues, etc. etc. I am a libertarian in the sense that I do not believe the government should have any control over whom people marry, what they put into their bodies, what they do to their bodies, etc.

Capitalism is evil because it shows no regard for people, animals or the environment. Without regulation, people are worked long hours with little to no pay, in dangerous conditions and without benefits. Without regulation, entire species are hunted to or near extinction and natural ecosystems are destroyed. This is all in the name of money and it is plain immoral.

This crisis has nothing to do with the Government, its about greed.

We as Americans don't understand that "bigger is better" is not always true. if you know you can afford a 250,000$ dollar house then DON"T buy the 300k$ house! if you Know your credit card limit is more that you can pay off in a month then GET RID OF IT!

Its our fucking fault that this has gone to shit, we got too greedy and the banks never fucking told us any different. we need to start living in reality and preparing for the bad times just like the rest of the world... we all need to save money and use less credit.

This crisis was made worse by the government by stepping out of the government role and jumping into private sector roles. Wasteful bailouts, increased taxes on the ones that give most jobs, government creating the fanny/freddie problem by allowing sub prime loans to people that no way of affording them, etc... the list goes on and on and is only getting longer by the day.

capitalism is only evil if you're a retard and can't figure out that you don't need to buy random shit. If you know how to live within you're income and make wise financial choices capitalism is perfect.

Well that whole idea is contradictory to capitalism. If people weren't constantly buying shit they didn't need then no one would be making any capital and the system would collapse.

we were buying shit... too much shit and it did collapse! there needs to be a balance between saving/planing/budgeting and Spending!

we cant spend every penny then expect Obama to bail us out.
