Well, according to this restaurant in Denver that just opened, they think you can smoke too much and it impair your driving enough to render having "complimentary free rides" home if you get too stoned!

Just to be fair. California is a shit state. The bay area, SD/LA and wine country are the exceptions.

It's really the truth. The rest of the country is quite a pay scale kick in the pants from California. Ask me how I know.

Its all relative, like currency. 80k makes me live baller style in Kansas/GA. Its evening out since Cali had the huge boom but so are wages as California is getting hammered in unemployment. Those higher cost workers are easier to ditch.

All I know is I never would have bought coke from my weed guy if I could have purchased marijuana at CVS.

3. I do not see how the current solution to marijuana is working or going to produce a comfortable end. Cops trying to find the newest drug dealers will always need to find the newest dealers. I don't see a way to eradicate the illegal sale and use of marijuana. By making it legal I do see an overuse as 87e30 has described, but that will subside with time, leaving us with a more controlled community. Time will not be a solution to the current problem with illegal marijuana. This is the US where the people and majority is suppose to rule. This thread provides a good span of america, and most don't have a problem with legalization. I'm curious as to what is stopping the legalization (in the sense of passing legislation by majority vote or proposal). Parents still have control over their children and this would be no different than a curfew enforced by parents. I'm not going to let my 12 year old brother smoke pot just because it is legal, and neither will my parents (just as my parents will not let him stay out after a certain time of night). We can not conclude that making marijuana legal will lead to abuse, as use is determined by the user. Similar to banning alcohol because people can abuse it. All in all, this is a silly issue to be having when there are many other problems with society.

As in? Im not going to be driving an F430 but it gets a nice loft downtown (shit, if you make 60 you could get an upper floor of the western auto building) or a decent house compared to a condo in any real urban area in cali (even places i wouldnt really consider urban, like Modesto). Plus I can buy stupid toys all day long (the american dream).

I have too many friends who moved back from California to trade in an 1800sqft pad for a 4800sqft house with a 3 car garage in JOCO. Thankfully they did this a couple of years ago before it really hit hard in Cali (most saw it coming, as did I. Thank you Countrywide!)
