I'm just getting to the point where I look around and see all of the handouts, the crying, the whining, the I want this, the I want that, these huge government bailouts being pushed through, etc etc. All the while I'm slowing losing my freedoms as people say "well it would be nice if the government would provide this, but.. don't take away my that!" People slowly allowing bullshit bills like the patriot act to go through and kissing away their freedoms out of fear. America's become pussiefied and all they are doing is looking for someone to take care of them because the majority of the country is too fucking useless, unskilled, and unmotivated to go out and better their life, their families, and their communities.

It's just getting sickening to me, freedom of speech is the number one most valuable thing we have, I fear the day we don't even have that any more, probably attributed to some retard like Perez Hilton calling people bitches or something and crying to the public.

I just hope this country wakes up some day. We sit here and fight each other tooth and nail on something as simple and stupid as marijuana legalization, how the fuck will we ever unite under a serious cause? We're supposed to control our government, not the other way around. Fuck...

The only thing we can hope for at this point, is to (as a country) sit down and take bong rip after bong rip until we start smiling and thinking straight. Take away the fear and anxiety and we might start making sound decisions that benefit everyone.

Yeah I can see your point as well, really its a slippery slope, but over all I think a piss test for most jobs is a good idea for the reasons I have already stated. If you have a legitimate ailment, in which weed helps and have a scrip for it and dont necessarily abuse that privilege then yeah I am all for it. From my gathering in CA all you have to do is ask your doc for the scrip if you need it or not.

Now that seems more like a breach of ethics on the docs part and on the patients part just to get a little bit of weed.

It's not THAT easy out there. It's more like pay for a visit to a specialist, inform them of your medical condition, with proof of condition, or medications prescribed to you for said ailment. Then they give you a 6-mo, or 1-yr term to utilize your medical notation. Then you can use that to get your medications. You have to go in and show it is still a continuing medical issue, etc.

You know something its the right of the employer to determine how good a fit a prospect may be. This can come down to work history, references, and many other criteria, most employers I know want a RESPONSIBLE, HONEST, PROFESSIONAL, employee, and a piss test is a window into determining that.

I will use myself as a example. My employer sends me out on jobs with no direct supper vision, With about 120k+ dollars worth of gear (depending on the gear can be much as 1/2 a million all in the back of a pickup) along Hazardous materials subject to strict Federal Regulation. You dont suppose he wants to make sure hes not employing someone dope, that with one fuck up could cost him his business. Not counting the fact that the Federal DOT requires it, the company insurance outfit and most of customers do as well, he has to place lots of trust in his employee's much of the time with in a day or so of meeting them.

You see if your a pot head you, have some things going against you, one you are breaking the law, Scoff law as it may be its still a law, most employers want you to follow the law, because you are representing he company and by default HIM. By breaking the law you show your lack of responsibly and that you could be a liability to the company as a whole.

huh I know doctors that have never had to take piss tests, and don't seem to worried about the prospect of ever having to. I know for a fact that possibly the best psychiatrist in Kansas smokes pot.
although because it is an illegal drug, they are forced to lie on their application for a medical license.
