If I had a gram for every rich stoner I've met- I'd have ounces!
Working in a dispensary for a while gives you an idea of who smokes and how much. Believe it or not, 9 out of 10 people that stop by are normal, hard working and SUCCESSFUL people.. Waitresses, brokers, contractors, owners of car dealerships, truck drivers, etc. all love it.
Point being you can throw a STONER label on every person that smokes POT, just like I can put a JUNKIE label on all you people that take pills for pain or depression or whatever the doctor convinced you that you had.. What it really comes down to is whether or not the cars drugs sex money or violence control where you go in life.
Haha this is funny as hell ^ cause at one point I was like that.
But on a real note don't you think like when you can legally drink and when you go out and party every night etc. You may over do it and go balls to the walls in the beginning but you grow up and become an adult and life balances back out. It seems like that would be the same with weed it would just flow with normal live plus the gov can tax it and make money
I'm sure there are millions of debates with no new information all over the internet already.
Weed is Legal in a few states now.. The rest will follow suit.. Get over it...
It was legal once before, liquor was made illegal once before.. History shows that it is only a matter of time..
How many people die a day from alcohol????
75,000 deaths a year dived by 365 days = 205 people a day dead
how many from pot ever, 0. Because it is impossible to consume a lethal dose.. something like smoking 6 pounds in 15 minutes.. they say..
If you are religious, then just can it.. you do not conceive the notion of logic anyways.
But, if god made a perfect world your saying he just waffleswaffleswaffleswafflesed up and left weed everywhere?? Im sure jesus smoked anyways.. only way people believe stuff like this is when there hi.. or brainwashed into believing from a young age by generations of crap fed to the brain.. And those who are just CRAZY..
matter of faith? The most solid believers i have seen are those smelly homeless people talking to god on the broken pay phone everyday near UCI..
I mean, making nature illegal. Just sounds stupid..
80% of the DEA budget goes to marijuana leaving 20% for all other drugs.
Meth, cocain/crack, heroin, xtc.. ect..
WHAT A JOKE, AND HUGE WAIST OF MONEY, TIME AND RESOURCES.. VS tax it for profit like everything else.. It not like it will go away if we keep it illegal.. its just money the US needs and is to stupid to get yet.
Since i have gotten a DR. REC for MJ for 5 years i no longer have any clue where a street dealer would be.
pot used to be a gateway into a social net work, but still a choice to explore it..
Now everyone goes to a clinic and i know of not one dealer or where to look for anything now.. if i wanted too.. So medical MJ makes finding drugs harder by taking the most common type of dealer link out of the equation..
Not to mention it clog's our jail's and prisons so we let worse people go to make room..
If anyone was responsible for the world as it is, id kick them in the nut's.. Call them a murder and criminal against humanity.. NOT GOD.
This year, just For new town alone.

It's hard to argue with someone so coherent and sensible but here we go.
I'm not saying I'm against Marijuana legalization, in fact I'm most definitely for it, but I do think some of your stats are misleading. I also find this kind of pot smoker (seems some people in this thread) :
annoying in general so I garner some satisfaction by arguing here.
Any that's 75000 people a year dying linked to alcohol, saying they died from alcohol makes it sound like they drank too much and died. However the breakdown is this:
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which published the study, estimated that 34,833 people in 2001 died from cirrhosis of the liver, cancer and other diseases linked to drinking too much beer, wine and spirits.
Another 40,933 died from car crashes and other mishaps caused by excessive alcohol use.
So not discounting the number just putting it into perspective. Interestingly enough I always see that nobody has died from smoking weed ever but I found this:
Secondary from overdose, the CDC and the National Highway Traffic Administration have shown that in the 1990s, nearly 20% of drivers killed in traffic incidents had narcotics in their system. During autopsy, the most common drug present was marijuana. This was followed by cocaine, benzodiazepines, and amphetamines. In the 2000s, the number appears to be closer to 25%.

They had other drugs in their systems. Weed definitely causes impairment but nothing near what alcohol or drugs like cocaine causes. But then again all I've messed with is alcohol and weed.
Also about the picture (lol'd by the way), I think we just get mad that a high percentage of people who are against weed have never smoked it and come up with arguments and nothing to back them up. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but if you're against weed at least smoke it first then give us your reasoning. I bet if they had smoked they'd at least be like 'eh, let em smoke it'
You'll always hear people who smoke cigarettes say that it calms them down. Something about taking a drag and exhaling, weed is exactly the same. Potheads just mind their own business and philosophize (idk if that's a word).
Some people can pass a sobriety test after 6 drinks, some can pass it after taking more bong rips than snoop lion... that still doesn't mean you should drive.
I think they created the 'driving while impaired' vs 'driving while intoxicated' thing for this reason- you can do a blood test and figure out your BAC.... but I don't think there is a direct test for cough medicine, meth, pills->opiates, weed, cheesy puffs, white horses, etc etc.
People need to not drive when they are waffled up- end of story.
A kid in our town recently died because he walked down to a park from a bar to take a wiz down in the park's creek area. It is hidden so it isnt exactly public urination- you could probably get away with it just fine....unless you slip on a rock and hit your head and DIE face down in about a foot of water.
Maybe he was high too- who knows , but he was confirmed super drunk by the autopsy. Abstinence education for sex, alcohol etc etc is proven not to work. People LIKE to get drunk/high/messed up. We have to teach them how to be safe about it so they don't die.
Driving into the ghetto/trailerpark/meth country usa so I can get weed is not helping.

Hey that happened last fall to a kid in the creek like 20 ft from my apartment. Drowned face down in about 5 inches of water.

Last year a old man pulled out in front of a harley. The harley hit his little prius square in the door going maybe 60- nearly crushed him through the door of the prius. Rider and him both had to get the helicopter lift out- not sure if anyone died.
Middle of the day so I doubt they were drinking/high. At what point does old age equal inability to drive?
My grandmother drove for 30 years without a license.
Laws are just words on paper- and they are meant to be made/changed/deleted as necessary. We tried prohibition with the liquor and that didn't go over too well- we are trying it with marijuana and it also doesn't seem to be working great.
If we aren't careful with all this law-changin they are going to allow women and blacks the right to vote.
