Regarding the other portions, are you familiar with the authors of the books referenced? Just curious why you're dismissing them as liberal... which you seem to equate with deceptive and/or false.Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.Comment

You don't seem to struggle referencing founding fathers, though... So let's get to all the quotations that are meant to protect "We, the people" from overbearing governments and policies. Quote their standing on taxes and social programs. :roll:Comment

absolutely, so I'll repeat my statement... Liberals, the word that is originated from latin word "free" want more government? While all government run programs are "social"? Shouldn't the term follow along with it's description? Unless liberty and freedom are no longer synonyms, I really don't understand your difficulty with words here.

Liberty and freedom are still synonymous, however liberal is more synonymous with generous

the preamble to the constitution states why they established the constitution. So lets look closer
1. Establish justice, this means law enforcement and courts, that means taxes
2.common defence, this means a military, that means taxes
3.promote the general welfare, that means health and well being, that means taxes
I think you are getting my point. [/LIST]Brian JacobsComment

Well there, ran all out of quotes? Or it's only fun cock-riding one way?
An honest man can feel no pleasure in the exercise of power over his fellow citizens.

jefferson on immagration
Born in other countries, yet believing you could be happy in this, our laws acknowledge, as they should do, your right to join us in society, conforming, as I doubt not you will do, to our established rules. That these rules shall be as equal as prudential considerations will admit, will certainly be the aim of our legislatures, general and particular.
Thomas Jefferson, letter to Hugh White, May 2, 1801
Jefferson on national debt
But with respect to future debt; would it not be wise and just for that nation to declare in the constitution they are forming that neither the legislature, nor the nation itself can validly contract more debt, than they may pay within their own age, or within the term of 19 years.
Thomas Jefferson, September 6, 1789
Franklin on Socialism
All the property that is necessary to a Man, for the Conservation of the Individual and the Propagation of the Species, is his natural Right, which none can justly deprive him of: But all Property superfluous to such purposes is the Property of the Publick, who, by their Laws, have created it, and who may therefore by other laws dispose of it, whenever the Welfare of the Publick shall demand such Disposition. He that does not like civil Society on these Terms, let him retire and live among Savages. He can have no right to the benefits of Society, who will not pay his Club towards the Support of it.
Benjamin Franklin, letter to Robert Morris, December 25, 1783Brian JacobsComment

Once I find out a person is liberal I simply dislike them to that degree. That's just the way it is.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

then you are narrow minded and shutting yourself out to great opportunity. I embrace people of different mindsets, it centers me. I have friends that are deeply religous, pro-life, pro-choice, and all spectrums of thinking, we all get along although we do not agree on everything, but we all treat each other with respect. I would more likely dislike someone that disrespcted someone I disagree with than someone I just disagree with.Brian JacobsComment

But you're not centered....lol.
Friends have many things they agree on...that's what makes them friends. Having to hold your tongue knowing you're going to create an argument is pointless.
But the real issue is liberals are usually extreme and don't deserve my respect. Liberals are what has dragged this country to where it is...so you guys can eat shit.
I can't tell you how sad I am that I have no Commie friends....what a loss.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.
