Shit, ALL religions are fucked up. Islam worse than christianity? I laugh at the notion. Man needs to evolve past the need to justify his actions based on the imaginary control of a supreme being. When the Mormons/LDSer's show up, sometimes I invite them in, provide them with water and even a snack then spend a little time asking them questions. Like "why do you follow a man who was wrong every time he predicted the end of the world?" "How many wives would you like to have someday"? "Jesus never mentioned that his followers were to, upon his death, abandon the religious practice that Jesus himself practiced which was, as we all know, Judaism. So why did we start a new religion? Jesus was a Jew, and if christianity is the act of following Jesus, then why don't christians go to synagogues"? And my personal favorite: "The Bible offers ways to test prophets. Your dear Joseph has failed that test on numerous occasions. If you believe the Bible, but don't trust the test laid out in the "Word of God", then how do you defend your faith? And other such unanswerable gems.

The fact is if you don't agree, say you're not interested and move on. I'm not for knocking on doors, as that's not what it says to do in the Bible. Spreading the Gospel is less knocky knocky and more about following God, getting to know him and recognizing he changes you, not you change so he can accept you. That goes for how you go about "telling" people about him. You do it with your life, not with just words. He offers, you follow, he changes you, people notice. Not bug the hell out of people.

Now the fact that you're "above" those that believe in God, solely because you don't or can't or wont, is wildly ironic bigotry. You make dismissal arguements and belittling comments. We're talking about beliefs here, not opinions. Have a bit more tact and maybe, just maybe, a bit of understanding or open minded discussion. Hell, try researching what you despise so vehemently and really finding out why.

Luke, most of that rant wasn't for you actually. I should be more specific, buddy.

Theologically, there's some huge issues with the Mormon Church in that they pass over or remove that no other Prophets (Joseph Smith) after Christ. And as with every system, organized group, religious or not, there are good people and bad people.
