Do we allow sons and Fathers to marry? Do we allow Moms and daughters to marry? They're consenting adults aren't they?
As soon as we allow gay marriage you will see a huge spike in criminality over who is getting married just for the benefits. And there will always be benefits because even if you pull apart church and state you still have Insurance to deal with.
Being gay is unnatural and immoral. That's why this situation can't be figured out easily.

Where's this proof people are born gay?

LOL I knew someone would say this. There are a bunch more dudes banging just women than men banging men yet they still make up that percentage. That's an issue. Just some facts.

Gay and bisexual men — referred to in CDC surveillance systems as men who have sex with men (MSM)1 — of all
races continue to be the risk group most severely affected by HIV. Additionally, this is the only risk group in the U.S. in
which the annual number of new HIV infections is increasing. There is an urgent need to expand access to proven HIV
prevention interventions for gay and bisexual men, as well as to develop new approaches to fight HIV in this population.

MSM account for nearly half of the more than one million people living with HIV in the U.S. (48%, or an estimated
    532,000 total persons).
MSM account for more than half of all new HIV infections in the U.S. each year (53%, or an estimated 28,700 infections).
While CDC estimates that MSM account for just 4 percent of the U.S. male population aged 13 and older, the rate of
new HIV diagnoses among MSM in the U.S. is more than 44 times that of other men (range: 522–989 per 100,000
MSM vs. 12 per 100,000 other men).
MSM is the only risk group in the U.S. in which new HIV infections are increasing. While new infections have
declined among both heterosexuals and injection drug users, the annual number of new HIV infections among MSM
has been steadily increasing since the early 1990s.

All the money spent on AIDS in the country and half of it could be eliminated tomorrow if men would just stop banging male ass.

We are a generation of people that feel science holds the answers. But yet we can not come up with a solution on how we got here and what made everything around us. Some questions will never be answered by science.

its small minded not to be skeptical about it. But hey you have to have faith to believe in your 'faith'.

Think about the fact that we read these books written by people who would look silly by our 1st grader standards. The age of miracles is no longer around because we have science to fall back to. Let me paraphrase the quote that says its the smart person who knows how little he knows. Give humanity a chance ;)

That's precisely how they argue it is a choice vs being born that way. They choose to be deviant. I don't care either way.

Very true, just pointing it out.

Interesting you mentioned taxes, I haven't checked because I'm not married, just yet.

I remember a friend telling me a few years ago, he and his wife actually were taxed more by filling jointly then by filing separately. A quick search didn't net much other than some low amount of income is taxed at a higher rate.

My fiancee will most likely still file separately since she is self-employed, but I was curious about the actual $$$$ ramifications between the two.

I understand that the argument of being born with it is really a bad argument. But it is in response to the equally terrible argument from anti-gays that homosexuality is a choice not made by God and therefore it is a sin.

How the fuck do you know beastiality hurts the animal? Like animals climbing on the back of another animal doesn't hurt them. I could easily make an argument against that idea.
