What is it that should be deducted by the clip? That she initially had a prejudice against a white farmer, with the clear intention to make his life difficult? She starts off by describing how condescending the man was to her. So you guys are outraged because she helps him but doesn't help him to her best ability? If you've had your shit taken from you in the past and the tables were turned, how would you feel? I don't know how old you guys are but she's elderly and probably experienced a lot of racism in her life compared to you. So if you feel that whites have benefited in the past (they have) of course you are going to feel wronged and bitter about it. Society tends to be more lenient when it comes to reverse racism so I understand a young white guy being upset but don't expect any serious backlash from that little clip. Nothing will happen.

Everyone was outraged last year when the governement was bailing out the rich Wall Street as well as the automakers. What this lady does is the same. She's bailing out white farmers with probably a good estate but into a temporary financial crisis, while there are many poor people out there needing support. And the many poor people are probably black too.

Right but that's just not reality. It's virtually impossible for someone to be 100% impartial. Why do you think affirmative action ever existed in the first place? That's pretty blatant racism right there yet the powers that be agreed it was necessary in an attempt to right the wrongs of the past. I don't think she or anyone should get a pass but fact of the matter is...she will. She should be removed from her position but probably won't. Of course you feel the way you do because you don't see how you have benefited from racism. Africans were enslaved, families torn apart, people bought and sold like cattle and finally after they were emancipated, subjected to racism and lynched just because of their color of skin. Think about that a second. Merely getting turned down for a loan or job opportunity is nothing compared to what they went through. Many people (perhaps not you) sympathize with this. Make no mistake, this country was founded on racism. I think it's comical, white people would be outraged just because they are getting a little taste of it now. It's not right, but neither was the enslavement of Africans, enslavement of Chinese to build railroads or the theft of Native American land, etc, etc, etc. I personally don't think anyone will truly "get past this" until we are all mixed into one ethnicity. Even then, we'll probably focus more on skinny vs fat, man vs woman, etc. It's just in our nature.

ehhh never mind I dont feel like writing a book. ( I am sure the rest of you dont want read one of my long diatribes either) Yes slavery was/is wrong but there is no one in living memory of slavery, and have not been for the better part 50 years (last person in living memory of the civil war died in 1961 IIRC), I never have owned a slave nor has my father or grand fathers or great grand fathers or any of my family history. No one will deny that what happened in the south post reconstruction was bad a bad deal but acting as if that was the case all over the nation is a bit narrow minded isnt it??? But for you to infer that we still owe something to the Black people of this nation for that is one of the biggest problems. And judging the act of the past through the guise of modern rose colored glasses is just as stupid. The founding and expansion of this country was full of brutality, in brutal time in history on all sides from all cultures and creeds. You are attempting to deflect from the issue at hand and compare apples to dilldos.

Next You are aware that black people had as many right and freedoms in the US since before the birth of the nation and had key roles in its founding right????
