Has the thought ever even occurred to you that perhaps your interpretation is wrong?

Yeah, looks like you've interpreted those rules perfectly! That's acceptable though, considering you were positive the rules had completely changed between 2007 and 2010. You're so smart! :)

Even if that were true, you're still a danger to the soldiers around you.

it isn't true, and we both know it. you'd shit in your waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswafflesy haute-couture jeans if a mortar dropped anywhere near you.

that aside- i've explained my position on hostile intent/act, as i've been ordered. if i saw it, i'd engage. so how am i endangering anyone around me?

I have to repeat it for you....
Obviously because of your interpretation of the ROW. Just the fact you think that video shows pilots ignoring the ROW.

If you're not actually a mechanic just talking it up.

Cut-and-dry rules aren't up for 'interpretation' any more than the rule of law is here in the US. Murder is murder, rape is rape, etc. The Rules of Engagement (Not the rules of war as you keep misstating it to be, probably on purpose) clearly state black and white conditions for use of deadly vs non deadly force. No interpretation, no gray area, nothing. It's simple. Now you're accusing an active service member (who has been to Iraq and actually served his country, just just sat in front of his computer trolling the internet) of being a dangerous liar and an idiot because he followed the rules that you don't seem to understand.

BTW do you even own an e30? Do you contribute to this website in any way, shape or form other than as a troll in the P&R forum? Because I've been attending e30 events in the Portland area for about 6 years now and I've never seen or met you. Which leads me to believe you're either one of those idiots who gets his rocks off by creating profiles all over the internet and stirring up shit, or you're someone other r3v'ers alter-ego. Either way it's pretty pathetic.

Again, Why do you, a civilian who has never been part of the armed forces or undergone any training whatsoever, know the ROE better than an active service member? Please explain.

And ya, I watched the video right after you posted it. I just chose to see what was actually in it, not assume it contained something it doesn't than claim it does when proven wrong

Thanks to liberalism here in the states this guy will see minimal jail time. And in some circles is hailed a hero.

                        He should be executed.

There is no such thing as treason anymore.

The video he is thought to have leaked as well.

Of course it was edited to make it look like they were all innocent civilians.
                        LOL!

what if the video is right on? im not saying it is, but what if? is that to much for you to handle? would that destroy everything you thought you lived for? everything you thought you stood for?
is that why it is so hard to grasp that your beautiful america can do no wrong?
the us armed forces kill innocent people all the time.
all kinds of soldiers admit it. publicly and privately.
it has happened in every war we have fought and always will happen.

                        have you ever seen this?

                        or this?

                        or this?

                        or this?

the black and whites are pictures of dresden after american planes fire bombed it.

February 13/14/1945: Holocaust over Dresden, known as the Florence of the North. Dresden was a hospital city for wounded soldiers. Not one military unit, not one anti-aircraft battery was deployed in the city. Together with the 600,000 refugees from Breslau, Dresden was filled with nearly 1.2 million people. Churchill had asked for "suggestions how to blaze 600,000 refugees". He wasn't interested how to target military installations 60 miles outside of Dresden. More than 700,000 phosphorus bombs were dropped on 1.2 million people. One bomb for every 2 people. The temperature in the center of the city reached 1600 o centigrade. More than 260,000 bodies and residues of bodies were counted. But those who perished in the center of the city can't be traced. Approximately 500,000 children, women, the elderly, wounded soldiers and the animals of the zoo were slaughtered in one night.
lets not forget hiroshima and nagasaki...

im not saying you are wrong or right. im just saying wake up out of your blind idealistic overly patriotic coma and smell the beautiful smell of burning corpses! :D
there are way to many people on this planet anyways.

i just remembered why i never post in the politics section of r3v...
there are to many undereducated close minded people who can not see past their own noses.
as i have said before. go read some objective history books about politics and war.
but i don't think that most people understand the concept of objectivity, so that would be a useless exercise.
                          carry on.

Hey Joshh, let us know if you think these guys are heroes.

Jeremy Morlock is the first of five soldiers facing hearing accused of creating 'kill team' and taking body parts as trophies

One of five US soldiers accused of being part of a "kill team" that murdered unarmed Afghan civilians for sport and collected body parts as trophies appeared before a military tribunal today. Jeremy Morlock has already confessed to involvement in killings in which he and other members of a Stryker infantry brigade based in Kandahar province are alleged to have blown up and shot three Afghan civilians in separate attacks this year. They are also accused of collecting body parts, including fingers from their victims and a skull and leg bones of other Afghans killed in the war.

And that. One of so many testimonies about murdered civilians.
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

Probably not. Those are monsters and the lowest of the low that are a disgrace to the uniform, service and country. They should be treated as such.

It strikes me as odd that you seem to be of the opinion, and I may be wrong, that because these poor excuses for human beings, which exist on all sides, in every country, in every province, in every society, are what all of the American armed forces are?
