not in the shadows. It is 2.5 blocks away. not hallowed grounds, unless you are fond of the Burlington Coat Factory! Any Idea why they want to put it there? Because that is where all the fucking muslims are in NYC. Every person I have asked how much time they have spent in the area ground zero area has not responded, if you dont know what you are talking about STFU

It "technically " didn't pass. A gay judge shoved his dick in the asses of all Family lovers. I mean a single gay judge made the wrong decision. It wont stick.

prop 8 did pass. maybe you should read prop 8. The judge in question overturned prop 8 because it passed. currently that judges decission is on stay. And I think what you meant was "stuck his dick the ass of all people that opposed a family that does not look like theirs" And again, we will see if it is the right or wrong decission as I feel the arguement he put forward is valid.

Perhaps you should come up with an original thought instead of parroting Olbermann before you tell others to "STFU"

Maybe you don't fully understand why people are so upset about this and you should do some homework before engaging in insults and parroting Olbermann talking points.

There are plenty of places to build a Mosque in NYC

2.5 blocks from ground zero is not one of them.

It's a slap in the face.

Ask the family members of those that lost loved ones on 911.

Better yet, let the people of NYC decide.

Put it up for vote if necessary.

Would that be a reasonable option, or should anyone opposed just "STFU" and not voice their opinion?

And that's what happens when it goes back and forth so damned much. You are correct.
But no that's not what I meant. I meant families that can actually make a real family.

Why put it on the backburner?

Or are you afraid of voter backlash?

I guess anyone who does not think like you is a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles and should STFU?

Ever think that you aren't always right and that a majority of people in California that voted on this issue don't agree with you?

Should they just STFU and put it on the backburner?

Like it or not, this will be an issue come November, no matter how much you want to put it on the backburner.

Why should it be swept under the rug?

The people voted and had their vote overturned and are rightfully unhappy about an activist judge overturning their vote.

No, it's a matter of reporting you. Although I don't usually go down to that level because I believe what I say and when someone has a problem with it, it's their own problem not mine. As is yours if you don't agree with me. Not my problem.

This is what's so (not) funny about the judges decision. He rightfully knows he's going against the voters. But what do you expect, he's a gay judge.

BTW, who is funding the Mosque?

Do they have any ties to questionable groups?

Has this even been investigated or looked into?

Either way, it's a confrontational slap in the face to many who lost loved ones on 9-11-2001 and is a sensitive issue and should be (maturely) debated and the group or groups funding the project should be looked into to see if they are getting any "funny money" from radical Muslim organizations.

And I'm sure AQ isn't against building the Mosque in the shadows of the former Towers.

Let's get ALL the facts on the table and then let the people of NYC decide.

                              Edit:

Further research unveils some more facts:

"It is the Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf and his American Society for Muslim Advancement (ASMA), who, as a self-professed moderate Muslim, refuses to condemn Hamas.

Furthermore, his association has had significant connections to CAIR, which is the US representative of Hamas, and shared an office suite with them.

Rauf's Cordoba Initiative website also openly promotes Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR efforts and radical ideology."

These guys aren't exactly the Boy Scouts.
Their finances and their supporters should be thoroughly looked into.

Sadly, the media won't do it, but they'll dig up dirt on Americans like Joe the Plumber, smear and demonize him for asking Obama a non-softball question.
