That Seattle incident was terrible. I can't believe it was obvious the guy was knocked out and they were just tossing him around like a rag doll.

but anyway over kill (the police and soldiers are trained to stop any threat)... there has been 6 police officers murdered in Seattle in less than a year, and the high way patrol and biker thing was bad too, the police live a hard life.
what can solve this...people could follow instructions..

yes, some of us have. i don't know if this is news to you, but you're not the only person in the military who's ever done a tour.

the people who are "complaining" here aren't bitching about having to wait an hour, or getting pulled over- they're saying it's wrong for a cop to put someone in a brain-damaged coma and walk away scot-free. and they're right.

Did you even watch the video? The guy was doing nothing wrong and the cop beat the shit out of him.

Cops mess up. Everyone does at some point, and stress just adds to that.

What's sickening is the fact that they stand up for each other instead of taking responsibility for their actions. Suspended for 3 days WITHOUT pay? Wow, that's a pretty serious punishment right there! The judges don't persecute cops and the police chiefs don't punish poor behavior. They just cover each others backs, turn the camera the other way and synchronize stories. Who are you going to complain to? It's a friggen gang.

I have to agree with you 100%. I have seen cops over-react in many situations but there is usually the threat of physical harm involved. In this video the suspect was clearly being restrained and a police officer jumped up and assaulted a (seemingly) unarmed citizen talking on his cell phone. Even if he was doing something illegal, he was posing no physical threat to any of the officers involved. I have shown this vid to my friends who are in LE and they all agree 100% as well.

I had it after my motorcycle wreck a few years back, apparently hit me harder than some others, but it was bad enough that honestly don't know if $20k would be enough to do it again.

WTF How was he obstructing a police officer?????? Hes talking to his DAD A COP on how to handle this situation. That pissed off the 2 already punishing his friend. That he was talking to another person about what was happening and not just a joe citizen either another COP. That had to stop or they might get in trouble.

SO they Punished the kid for talking on the phone to his father while staying outta the way. That cop cant come up to you and demand you hang up the phone. I am sure thats what they did and he told them NO, so the punished him for his insolence for not complying with their unlawful order to cease and desist using his constitutional rights.

Douche bag cops period you cant defend this shit. Cops are not doing the jobs they are supposed to do, they are revenuers for the state and local govt and goons going around pulling shit like this. I will be for the 1st to stick up for the GOOD COPS out there that do the job they are supposed to do. $20,000 wouldn't cover it for me again. Now imagine not being able to sleep a straight 3 hours for 2 years. Toss on massive weight loss. Enjoy night sweats, panic attacks and insane anxiety out in public.

On topic, not all Cops are like this. Having a few good friends that are Cops, I can tell you that their job is intense. Everyday. In and out. This Cop was out of line and other officers need to sack up and get him off the streets. Period. They know better and it only makes good Cop's job's harder. Now you'll hear about a good cop getting blown away trying to save a convience store clerk because he's just "a pig".

what-ever you we're there...people don't cause problems...the media doesn't blow things out of proportion,or lie. the guy should have fucked off when the officer told him too. he should of asked daddy if it was a good idea to stand there and add more stress to the problem. he probably thinks its okay to fuck with the police when there arresting people,because all police are pigs because they stop people from doing things. he most likely wont do it again,maybe not though since the cops are evil.
