These things happen all the time and each one has to be taken case by case. In some cases, probably most, the cop is justified in the level of force that they use. In other cases they are not justified. In this particular case, the cop was not justified.

As you can see, the kid is just standing there on his phone and the cop tackles him and beats the shit out of him. Absolutely abhorrent behavior on the part of the cop. He should be fired and given jail time for assault.

I see the guy running the street cam did not want to get to much incriminating evidence on tape after cop takes down the kid on the phone. But you know it must have been rough as there was pool of blood under where his face was. Cop got pissed at the kid cuz he didint get off the phone at once on his orders, and was prolly talking to some one relaying what he was witnessing they were doing to the other guy. There for "obstructing a police officer and there for could use force.

Its bull shit, I hate cops like this, too bad there are too many that think this is how its supposed to be done.

technically, if you have done nothing wrong and are being accosted by an officer, you are well with in your rights to defend your self with the force necessary to end the altercation, and that includes deadly force.

BUT WE ALL KNOW HOW THAT ENDS, so yes I do agree with you on this.

Cops like this only have 1 mode, excessive. Sometimes it works out when dealing with the scum of the earth but this is how they treat everyday citizens and that is exactly why I hate cops. Every interaction I've had with police has been as a law abiding person and I have still been treated like complete shit every time. Called a cop an asshole one time for treating me like this and guess what, they came up with a reason to just keep me sitting there for an hour before I got to leave. Great use of tax payer money, not like there are any pieces of shit out there breaking the law. It will always be like this while it is the good ol' boys club and they look out for their own no matter what the situation is. The guy who has the last word in this case linked obviously is unfit to do his job but nothing will happen to him either.

i looked at allthe links posted, it makes me so mad that they just abuse they're power like its nothing, "oh hes in a coma the rest of his life, brain dead, its a trajic accident" yea bullshit. "ohh he was trying to hit me, although he was on the phone" more bullshit. most cops aren't this way (i fucking hope), but its pigs like these that need to be tied up and fucking beat senceless by who they've abused. makes me want to put a bullet in some excuse for a human being.
