    Republicans take the House.

    Simple question for all.

Do you think Obama will now move towards the center as Clintion did?

I'm watching his interview right now and he keeps referring to electric cars....then he went into Nuclear power again. I wont hold my breath though.
He seems to think that it's only the economy that made the House change to Republican control.

The summary I got out of the speech so far is pretty much, I didn't have to work across party lines before and now I do, so I guess I will.

There's always hope. I don't agree with the guy, but he's still the President. Hope they can polish out some serious issues hurting many, many American's right now.

I had a giggle at that. Well he does sound like he now gets the message about the economy and jobs at least. I'll give him that much.

Electric cars solve nothing, it takes huge plants that burn more then the gas cars output. Solar power on a house that can recharge the cars would be SO MUCH better.

flawed logic, large power plants are so much more efficient than small car engines that overall we would be using less gas to do the exact same thing. They also solve the problem of how to have a totally awesome torque curve. :D

That's as bigoted as Republicans actually voting something down solely on the basis of Partisanship. That makes you no better than those you accuse.

Both sides have to get a bit more perspective and really just pull themselves up by their bootstraps, wipe the sand out of their vaginas and focus on what needs to be fixed.

Bigoted? That statement was based purely on recent history, how they have been acting the last 2 years. I'd love to see some give and take instead of constant mud.

                      you talking about the republicans?
you know, the ones the pres said "hey, we won the election" to about 2 seconds into his new administration when republican senators were trying to be included in the process?
the ones the pres calls "enemies"
the ones the pres said "can come along but they have to ride in back"?

those guys that were physically locked out of the room the dems were in when they were hashing out Obamacare?

the ones the pres ridicules by name?

how fucking unfair of the republicans to not go along with the socialism of america. what a bunch of self centered ingrates.

this pres is a one term wonder
he will talk like he needs to compromise and do the opposite away from the cameras

thank God for a stalemate in congress

Yeah, those guys. Not gonna deny that the dems are being assholes but the republicans put themselves in that situation.
I wouldn't include someone in a brainstorming session if I knew they had no intention of doing anything but gather up ammo to derail the whole effort.
Both sides are being dicks, no doubt.

Regardless, now the republicans are in a great position to block everything and do nothing constructive at all while dems take the heat for any inaction. I hope for the best but what I expect is continued assholery.

obama campaigned and was elected on the explicit promise of governing post-partisan
all good ideas to be discussed, all parties come together to fix whats wrong

                          it was a FUCKING LIE

                          do you get it?

the man lied to all of us so we'd elect him and he'd get on with his agenda
he never had ANY intention of including republicans in anything, ever
he never tried to include them, and they decided to fight back as the minority

Now they are in a position to create and advance legislation in the House (where the bills start) whilst being blocked in the Senate and/or a Presidential Veto.
