I know plenty of atheists, and the ones i know are actually really cool people, but whenever religion comes up Atheists just joke and talk shit about religions. It'd be different if they made their points by simply saying. "do you really think a virgin had a baby by some unseen man in the sky who created everything?" and then left it at that, but instead they attack religions and it makes them seem like assholes. I'm just saying. I honestly couldnt care less what anyone else believes. To each their own, and all that jazz you know? But I am not going to joke someone for what they believe in...

Honestly I agree, there is no reason to get offended. If someone just continues to go on and on making fun of my religion, I will probably leave because it's annoying and disrespectful.
My buddies always poke at my religion a little, it's all good. Just go on with life.

I was raised by my parents in a family that went to church every Sunday. My mom donates a lot of time to the church and sings in the choir every Sunday.

With that said I am atheist and I still attend church from time to time with my parents. It seems to me that (in my church at least) there is a lot more to religion than simply believing in god and taking all the stories in the bible as fact. A lot of these Christians I know from church are there for the community, because the messages behind the stories of the bible teach lessons and generally help people better themselves. The church (or at least some churches) does good things.

In my opinion its something stupid to argue about. I am not offended by any of the billboards, but I think people trying to push their beliefs on other people in general is stupid. I have never tried to "convert" any Christians to atheism and I really don't see why what they believe is any of my business.
