Exactly^ thats the only reason I am ok with this, because the children had no choice and were just following their parents, if it was giving the opportunity to illegals who chose to come here I would say hell fucking no.

^Yes, but will it allow for future children to have a pathway or just current ones?

If it allows it in the future, then it would seem to be an additional incentive to the family to sneak over the border.

It does seem like it would be an incentive to come over, but I don't necessarily see that as a bad thing either. Immigrants are not pests by default. Heck, America is made of immigrants. If said child is willing to be a part of the country, work hard and contribute to society is that such a bad thing? Those are exactly the people a country wants, regardless of skin color.

Someone told me that it applied to only current people but I don't believe that for a second. There doesn't seem to be any mention in any of the articles I have read that it only applies to current people and I don't see how it can considering these people are undocumented. But, it doesn't matter anymore because it is DOA.

Then send them back to their parents.

The main problem is, that the ones that are illegally coming over are not the well educated ones. But poor, uneducated, sometimes mentally ill, and outcasts. This puts a burden on our society by ways of social services. Services that this country can not afford.

The act only offers a chance of perm. residency to those who have either served in the military and/or have completed at least two years of college. Potential beneficiaries of the act must also have no criminal record, and be of "good moral character."

It seems to me like these are the type of hard working and educated individuals that we want here.

do I really need to make my view point known on this.

Come in through the front door the right way in the 1st place and this would not be an issue. This legislation is BULL Shit and a back door approach to full amnesty

So a child brought over as an infant who graduates high school and serves in the military should be deported?

Ummmmm If they are here illegally then SEND THEM THE FUCK BACK.......YES Deport them.

With ONE CAVEAT Military service, thats is it. If you are willing to pledge your loyalties to this nation, put your life on the line to serve it, and do SO HONORABLY then Yes that earns you the right to apply, and go though the naturalization process.

If and only if you dont go about getting in one of the other plethora of legal ways. Military Service should put you on the fast track to citizenship, not freeloader ville

Lol at the deport them all schpeel, its financially irresponsible to do that, it'll never happen. However this "back door" approach, you know where it'll cost them atleast 20k to get a college degree or spend 4-5 years with buzz cuts to become a citizen is not a bad deal in fact America wins in this one. 1 more soldier or 1 more educated person is a good thing, regardless of whether or not there parents are illegal.......AND YES I'M THE ONE WHO SUPPORTS ARIZONA'S SB1070.
