Don't bother arguing with joshh. He is the biggest troll on this forum. Facts, evidence and reality mean zero to him. Back him in to a corner with actual data and numbers? He'll lash out at you personally and accuse you of never using data and numbers, even though you just did (probably even in the post he just quoted...) He'll turn anything you say on it's face and throw it right back at you, no matter how incorrect or stupid he sounds while doing it. He has not a shred of decency, intelligence or intellect. He'll contradict himself within the space of 2 posts, and when he's called on it will resort to an elementary form of 'I know you are, but what am I?' backpedaling that would look desperate on a 2nd grade playgorund. He is the prime example of a lonely, empty, pathetic man who's only entertainment left in life is to pick e-fights on the internet with complete strangers. Look up "Troll" in Meriam-Webster and there's a picture of joshh, framed with the caption "No, you are!"... And frankly seeing as how nearly every post he makes is in violation of the rules of the P&R subforum, he should just be banned. But I know how stupid he is, and how he'll come right back with a new username and cry fowl at how we're trying to censor him or whatever. Just like mathew-mayhem used to do, over and over and over. (At least he was smart enough to give up eventually)
The best thing to do with a screaming, tantrum-throwing child is to pay it no attention. Eventually it will tire of it's games and shut up.
$5 Gas in 2012?

You didn't say $2, you said $1.84. I said sub-$2. And they haven't gotten anywhere close to that again, have they?

I didn't say 2$ did I. And you keep claiming you argue logic and reason...lol. You're so desperate I'm audibly laughing. And? Your complaint was that gas prices were recovered from their recessed prices and my response was why would you expect them to go back to where they were in 2009? Have they gotten anywhere close to $2 again?
Just because people want cheap gas doesn't mean the world market is going to operate in their favor.Leave a comment:

Right.... dude. Keep trying to avoid logic, reason, or facts while trying to attack my rationale and concern for them.Oh you clearly are looking for acceptance and in desperation. It's not the way I feel, it's what you're doing. Your desperation shows in the fact you're getting so petty as to even correct my errors in grammar and spelling even if I already knew the correction. Here's your opening for an insult...lol.
Sorry I believe that arguments and decisions ought to be based in logic and reality, and that has me question your crazy bullshit.Leave a comment:

Just because people want cheap gas doesn't mean the world market is going to operate in their favor. No the price isn't *as high* as 2008. But it's stayed high twice as long (and still stays high now) as 2008. It didn't peak like 2008.
Stability, yes if you think stably high is a good thing.
Feb08-Oct08 prices never went below 3.11. And they peaked at 4.12. Average=Approx-3.61 over 8 months.
Feb2011-current prices have not gone below 3.11 per gallon. Average=Appox-3.53 over 16 months.
You can argue all you like. Those are not good numbers for people trying to get around in a down economy.Leave a comment:

Don't misinterpret my concern for facts and logical thinking for any desperation for acceptance. Maybe you are projecting since most people here don't take you seriously at all and label you as the resident troll.
Maybe if you dealt with facts, the presentation of them wouldn't feel like someone smothering them in your face.Leave a comment:

WHAT NUMBERS WOULD YOU LIKE?!? Did you NOT expect them to recover to where they were in 2008? Why does it matter that prices have been stable at this price longer than in 2008 - do you think they are going to go down anytime soon?? And why would you ever?? [Eventually they will proceed to go up as global demand continues to grow, until alternatives start to cut more into transportation use through higher adoption]
Did you not take Econ 101, like ever? Do you just walk into a store and say "this is bullshit, I don't like these prices!"? People other places in the world pay more. And it's not like the world is shrinking - more and more and more people are getting cars and have access to energy.
If people need to get around, it's called a) legs b) bike c) bus. Americans only complain because they were so spoiled and lived it up with gas guzzling SUVs for so long, they came to expect it... felt entitled.
edit: YOU HAVE FOUR YEARS TO SAVE UP AND BUY A Civic VX, 1st Gen Insight, or another cheap high mpg car in preparation for gasoline's rebound!!! No one has any room to complain really.
And here's your post that I was responding to...

You're* fyi.Might want to read that quote again...lol. Nowhere did I imply that Obama will get the price down to 2$ a gallon of gas. What's pathetic is you feeling so desperate for acceptance that you need to scramble around and in any way you can try to smother anything you can in my face. It's getting entertaining actually. Your clearly in anguish and in need of medication.

LOL joshh. Wow, gas prices are right in line with what I expected and nowhere close to your sub-$2 expectations and you are celebrating? Pathetic.Damn you pick bad timing for your attacks.
:rolf1:
And just to make sure you don't keep trying to twist my words. I've never said the President controls the price of gas. But their policies sure have an effect. And in this case it works in my favor. Obama's policies are so terrible he couldn't even get the prices lower before the election because his energy policies are so anti Coal/crude. Thanks for the support on how terrible Obama's economy is rwh11385.
Gasoline prices averaged $3.5454 per gallon on November 2Still, gas is not at $5. Given the several supply issues currently and the fact that after labor day gas prices usually subside slightly, this might be the peak for the year. Although I don't expect gas to go much lower than $3.50-ish personally. (obviously extreme shocks on either side could change that in either direction, but joshh's hopes for gas under $2 again is a bit outlandish)Leave a comment:

Again, joshh... how is that going for you?

No crazy $2/gal gas for the election? Maybe the President doesn't control gas prices... with that free-market and all.Leave a comment:
