Ask the typical female investment banker, female construction worker, male nurse, stay at home dad. 99% of them are not confused about the plumbing they have.

If I really wanted the government to stop what people do with their own bodies, it would start with gauges and crazy ass piercings. But if you want to fuck your body up, go for it.

Or do you want to pay a little extra taxes so they dont become homeless in the first place through the inability to pay for health care, or other services.

I would much rather pay extra taxes to have a clean, healthy, city not overrun by homeless.

So are you calling drug users homeless people too? Largely, becoming homeless is a mental condition too. I would much rather pay for programs to help people mentally and encourage them to be functioning members of society.

But the one absolute truth about humans is they only will do something when THEY decide to do it. Professionals know this. 12 step programs highlight the hell out of this. AA's first step is this: "We admitted we were powerless over alcohol—that our lives had become unmanageable." This means that this statement has to predicate all of the other steps.

Cleaning up the aftermath does nothing for people's mental health. Paying for people to continue to live in denial is incredibly wasteful of financial resources, man-power, and the lives of those who need and WANT help.
