They're having a contest on easter Sunday (I'm aware easters origin is pagan) when most christians celebrate the ressurection of Christ, and they're portraying him in the most vulgar and hideous manners possible, that right there is sacrilege, not to mention its a contest hosted by homosexuals, double whammy. I think it's far too ingrained in people's lives and worldviews for its influence to be quantifiable. It's impossible to distinguish between outside influences such as religion and whether people are inherently bad. But "because *insert higher power here* said so" is pretty powerful, particularly if you don't believe in that higher power.
