I don't look at it that way. You're no longer a Conservative if you want anarchy. You're no longer a liberal if you want Communism/Nazism. Kershaw can joke all he likes to try in some way to poke fun at the idea liberals=Nazis....which is not what I said of course.

I don't have all the facts on this guy but so far it looks like he's a far lefty. Like Bill Ayers....
But the more extreme liberals/progressives become the more they reflect the same views of their more extreme Communist/Nazi cousins.

This has been a shellshock for all people in my country.

I would first like to point out that this very easily could have been MUCH worse. He planned to kill over 4000 people for christ sake. And he could easily had done it too. Just at Utøya Island, and him rigging up the explosives he had planned it would have killed 600-700 people instantly. The lucky onces would been blown to sea, and maybe drowned.

The kind of explosives he had would suggest he could blow up 1/8 of Oslo town. And the mind boggoling thing is the kind of fertilizer he used is a no-restriction-product.. Combined myself and my neighbour (both farmers) have enough fertilizer standing around in the spring before planting season that we could make a bomb 38 times as big as he did.

I think everybody expected some jihad extremist would be behind anything if there was to come an attack one day. And at first it looked like that, it was reports of four men in a black Merc with tinted windows rushing from the outher area of scene and it was an arrest at the Norway/Sweden border aswell as a big raid on the national airport half an hour outside Oslo and some big islamic pre-deported people where arrested.

Then it was reports from Utøya Island that it had been a shoting incident. Then it went quiet for a while and I thought the Utøya incident wasn't more than a horrific coincident. And it then emerged that alot of people where calling their parents and friends reporting of a lunetic with a pistol and a machine gun in police uniform going beserk. Then we got a understanding of the scale of the situation. And knowing there is no armed guards on these kind of arragement it early became clear that these where sititng ducks.

At one point the the number of dead on the island where 10, but in the middle of the night it went from 10 to 80, i almost had to throw up on my keyboard when i read it. Especially since i knew they all had to be "localy" executed by one or two people. And that is what distrubes be the most about all this, how it's possible to execute that much people (now beeing downsized to 68 killed, not 80 - on the island) in a space of 1 hour and 35 minutes. Seeing all their faces, hearing the screams and seeing people fall apart. At some point you should think the human body would give in and break down even for the killers mind. I'ts like reading through a summary of the things that happend in the Balkan war in former Yugoslavia in the 90s. And in a country as Norway, with no major incidents since the end of WW2... last place on earth i would think i'd happen.

The profile of the killer I think will set a new "benchmark" for how dangerous a human can be, set up with the right enviroment, tools and dedication. This guy planned for 9 years for christ sake. NINE. At least 3250 mornings and evenings. To not fall out during that time is quite unreal. On paper he seems to be a chilling intelligent guy witch have used all his mental capabilites in the wrong way, for nine year.

His 1600 pages compedium is disturbing spot on in some places, and then 10 times equally disturbing in other parts. How it is possible to be so close to reality and at the same point be so long from it is quite remarkeble i think. This guy is a person who has lived in the urban and rich part of Oslo almost whole his life - and that comes to show when he moves out on the countryside in his last couple of months before the attack.

It's just PURE luck he is not found out by farmers and agricurtural people. The farm is veiwable from the couty road, and two farmers nearby was close to reporting him to the police two weeks earlier for very suspicious behaveiur. He didn't know jack shit about agriculture and farming, even while running a GeoFarm for 3 years on paper.

He is desperatly urging everyone to apperar low key and stay of the police radar, but he does childplay mistakes himself. Moving from the city has really made him a rokkie in his new enviroment. The farm he rents is earlier very well know in my area as it was earlier purchased by a accomplice of the group who stood for the biggest robbery in Norwegian history in 2004, and the police was even outside his house one day he was at home, collecting picture evidence in the trial of the former owner (!). Even still, he continued making the bomb. He even had a big air vent pipe out of his living room window for all to see. He also have baricaded windows (witch is VERY suspcious), and locked the door behind him everytime he got visit outside the farmhouse. And if you came on visit without calling him first he was very angry. It's quite unbeliaveble to see how he almost cooks everything up in space of weeks after moving to the countryside. God only know's what we could avoided if some of those farmers had reported him (Not that i'm trying to blame anyone). But that is also a puzzeling side of the our society/enviorment. We leave people's buisness alone and mind our own.

The guy will forever be a lunetic witch unfortunally will get lots of space in the history-books and top horror lists.

But it is so so vital to learn from what he did, and inprove our way to spot these symptoms, and extensivly investigate what drove him to his actions. That is the absolutt minimum we should do for the dead. Many thinks earlier horrific incidents has been taken to lightly on, but we have (has anyone?) never had this kind of attacks of this scale. The police has one big advantage this time: The killer is alive and can be analyzed an questioned. I't almost ashame he is in a such nanny state country as Norway. In Russia and such they would investigate him properly, with the appropriate drugs (no offence!) This kind of people has mutaded to sub-human to me. Sometimes the democracy and "justice" system of such a "soft" country as Norway serve us a feeling of in-justice. The enormous justice of democratic process makes us feel injuctice(d) because the system isn't designed for handling people of this caliber. To us in Norway , a calibre that is as uknown as Aliens.
